Rand Paul On The Government Telling You What Light Bulbs, Etc., You Can Use
"In America we believe in trying to convince our neighbors, but not in trying to convince them through the force of law," Paul said.
Actually, that's the old America, the one in which we also had Fourth Amendment rights; the one in which you only got felt up at the airport if you got drunk with some cute salesman at an airport bar.
The times, they are a changin' and not for the better.
This woman he is speaking to/questioning epitomizes in so many ways everything that is wrong with our government.
Just watch her. Her robotic, illogical, non- responses to any of his questions are a +4 on the creepy scale too.
Welcome to West World.

And her overwhelming smugness! There will be a revolution in this country.

I wanted to shout, "How in the HELL is it not limiting my choices?", but my co-workers would probably have looked at me funny. 8)
Seriously, though, what type of thought process is required to even be able to form a response like that one?

It's the one that goes: "Shit! He's right! But surely there's some other question I could answer that pretends I'm answering his question....I know, I'll pull out some lame bullshit about how its partly his side's idea too and that because we all just got along to come up with the plan it must be OK...deflect, deflect, deflect!"

His comment about his toilets don't work and her response "I can find you one that will" just irritates me to no end.
I have two of the 1.6-gal. low-flow toilets in my house. I constantly have to flush them twice. If I had the old 3.5-gal. toilet it would be done in one.
So the solution is to buy these new toilets that use 1.0 gal, but now have pumps and electronics at $500+ a piece. The old ones cost about $100
Where I could use the old toilet once for 3.5 gal and my water bill would be about $5-15 higher per month. So to recoup that will take about 4 years and hope the pumps and electronics hold up that long.
The real ironic thing in this -- I have a well and septic tank. In other words -- my water is free and my tank needs pumping 3-7 years (if that) at about $200. Where does any of this save me a dime?

Jm, cut the line from your tub and washing machine to the spetic if possible and have them dump directly into flower beds and you many never have to have the spetic pumped again
