"It's Your Rectum, Not Mine"
I love Sue Johanson. She uttered the above words in this clip from her now-ended show on Canadian and American television,, "Sunday Night Sex Show" that I came upon because I'm hoping to mention her in a column and needed the spelling of her name.
NOTE: Not Safe For Work Unless You Work For Me, of course. (But, worth sneaking off and watching at some point -- both for its educational and entertainment value.)
I've never understood why anyone would ever want to shove their Johnson up into one of those...

As a healthcare professional, I can state that it's reasonably safe, but with a huge caveat on the "rough" part. Condoms are de rigueur, and you never want to enter the vagina after penetrating the rectum, with the same equipment (changing condoms is necessary), or else you risk infection (for her).
I'm not much on this either, I figure that there's an orifice next door that is distinctly and eminently designed for this purpose. In a long and varied life, with more partners than I care to admit, I've had only one who was into this. It's ok as far as it goes.
The anus itself is full of sensory tissue though. If a guy really wants to shoot his girl to the moon... try licking it! You'll make her scream!

What's a "healthcare professional"?

Just don't try French kissing afterward?
