Mean Girl (Updated, See Below)
Perhaps I should write a picture-book sequel to I See Rude People -- "I See Rude Canines."
My friend Debbie's dog Mingus is visiting for a week while she's in New Orleans, and we're doing our best to make him feel happy and welcomed -- well, most of us.
Lucy, who has a lovely green velvet pillow to sleep on, decided to colonize Mingus' pillow, leaving Mingus, who is about 10 times Lucy's size, to go take up residence under a chair.
(All three pounds of Lucy have since been relocated to her own pillow.)
UPDATE, 11:30 a.m. Pacific Time:
My dog does this. She also does it with toys or anything else. If they other dog wants it, she'll lay claim on it. Everytime.
She'll also go over and sit on the other dogs face when they are lying down. Such a bitch. lol.

Clearly she thought she matched the pillow, thus it must be for her. :-)

She is not a mean girl... she is a queen and the queen always sleeps where she wants to... unless she is overruled a goddess! HA! Cute picture! ;-)

Yep, that's pretty much her!

"I'm Top Dog around here!" squeaked Lucy, "I'm Top Dog!"
At first, I thought Miss Alkon had taken a picture of a slipper!

My little dog always does this to the big dog too. Poor big dog is laying in his comfy bed, then little dog sneaks in and curls up next to him, and then the next time I look over she's got the whole thing to herself and big dog is relegated to the floor. Little princess!

Clearly Lucy is a liberal with socialist tendencies...

My mom has a giant schnauzer that is 100+ lbs. She taught him to lay down when he was meeting small dogs.
My dog is about the size of the schnauzer's head. Thanks to his "uncle" my little guy started lying down to meet any dog smaller than a Labrador retriever.

- S'cuse me - interruption -
We were blogging about tattoos the other day. I was just watching a documentary (Stephen Fry - America) where a guy had an image of his home state of Kentucky tattood on his butt. It was a very cool statement of pride without being obnoxiously proud.
