Easton is the co-author of a terrific book, "The Ethical Slut," that I've been recommending for years to people who ask me about sexually open relationships -- whether they can handle one, how to handle them, all the questions they have.
This was a fascinating and eye-opening show, and one not to be missed even if you aren't personally interested in having more than one sex partner. Dossie got into myths about love and sex, and smarter, healthier ways of thinking that are illuminating for all.
A NOTE ABOUT THE EARLIER SHOWTIME THIS WEEK: I'm in New York to be on a national TV show on Monday to talk about my book, I See Rude People, so I need to get to bed a little earlier. More about that on Monday!

Great show, Amy.
However, I wish he expanded a little more about connection between existentialism and refusing to become a victim.
Also, I do think there were a few Jewish organized revolts against Germans in concentration camps.
And most Jews thought that they were going to labor camps not gas chambers. I think that was the one of the reasons why there were just a few revolts.

I just started listening to it today and am a bit over halfway through. I had a thought while listening on my way to pick up lunch just now. You were talking about how everyone is vying for victim status. I started thinking about Occupy Wall Street. I don't mean to dismiss their legit complaints, but suddenly the whole "I am the 99%" slogan sounds a lot like "I and 99% of us are victims!" One percent more and we will have universal victimhood.

I've had some really hard times financially -- where I couldn't afford a bed, worked as a mover and a bike messenger and even was a substitute chicken for a day (handing out flyers in a chicken suit), but I always saw myself as my own responsibility. Tough times are just part of life. Zur understands that - especially as an Israeli.
