Cannibalism Is Bad!
Publicity hound Gloria Allred takes a stand against herself -- no, wait, she's actually talking about the Florida face-eater. Fred Grimm writes for the Miami Herald:
Finally, someone -- someone right here in Miami -- had the courage to take a stand against the great scourge of our time.Oh... not that scourge. Not child obesity or one-percenters or sexually transmitted diseases or radical Islam or Citizens United or greedy bankers or Burmese pythons or Greek tax evaders or Iranian nukes or unmanned drones or union busters or feral pigs or Facebook IPOs or destination casinos or Boston Celtics or illicit voters or even Donald Trump.
No. Gloria Allred came to town Wednesday to warn us -- those of us who might have been wavering in our resolve -- that "cannibalism is a serious issue and is very dangerous to the health and the well-being of the cannibal and the victim."
Not necessarily in that order.
Allred once presented a journalism prize I won in the LA Press Club Awards. All the other judges talked about the entry they were giving out. Allred skipped the part about me and my work and talked about Allred, what a shocker.

Far be it from me to point out that Zombieland rules also work for attentionwhoring lawyers.

Apparently, from the article, we're to conclude that cannibals make bad boyfriend material, too.
I was going to make a "don't let him cook dinner" joke here, but decided to spare everyone the indignity.

Really! I thought cannibalism was one of those social mores that most people generally knew was not a good thing to do?
AIDS is a concern. Cannibalism is not a concern.
Government overspending is a concern. Regulating foie gras in not.
Crime is important. People using bathsalts in strange ways is not a major concern.
Priorities people. I expect better from professionals.
John Paulson at June 12, 2012 5:59 AM
I too expect better from professionals, but always make an exception for Gloria Allred. From her I expect the worst, and am never disappointed.
BarSinister at June 12, 2012 6:47 AM
Really, Gloria?
Most activities in which one or more parties can be labelled "victims" are dangerous to those parties.

"AIDS is a concern. Cannibalism is not a concern."
Actually, it is a very big concern to the most of Americans.
The weapons are flying off the shelves because of the possible zombie attacks.
Also, they have a right to vote just like you and me to choose our next leader to get us out of the zombie trouble we are in.

Two cannibals are eating a clown.
One says to the other "Does this taste funny to you?"
==============================================
Once you say that Allred, Jackson, or Sharpton is involved in any way, I know that I'm going to be on the other side.
In this case, while I have to agree that cannibalism is bad 99.9%[1] of the time, this is an isolated case that happened. They believe that Eugene may have been using bath salts and/or other hallucinogenic drugs.
Remember Dahmer -- where was she. In this case she's manufacturing a victim.

[1] The case of the Stella Maris College Rugby Team was exigent circumstances and outside of the normal requirements for survival. This was not a "I am just going outside and may be some time."[2] situation

Can't cast aside Gloria All-RED too much. As I recall, she helped bring down Herman Cain, much to the country's detriment, IMO.
mpetrie98 at June 12, 2012 8:10 PM
I was not a fan of Herman Cain. But at this point, I'd take Cain over Obama.
<gagging & puking>I would take Hillary over Obama at this point. The only reason Biden is VP is to insure the POTUS's life.</gagging & puking>
Jim P. at June 12, 2012 10:09 PM
Ya Jim. P. I would have taken Hillary over Obama, too. May have hated her and her politics, but she would have more sense as a POTUS, with her experience, knowledge, and guile to be a good/ok President.
I love/hate it when the media and media figures make a big concern over something minor, but ignore the big stuff.
Next of "News Magazine shows, can using a cell phone at the gas station cause explosions!"
But let's ignore the death of children due to diseases like mumps that should not be a risk.
