St. Aloysius Church, near the Book Cadillac Hotel (or what remains of it after it was Westin-ized), where the alternative newspaper conference was held.
I wonder if this is what Emma Lazarus had in mind:
"Keep ancient lands, your storied pomp!" cries she
With silent lips. "Give me your tired, your poor,
Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,
The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.
Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me,
I lift my lamp beside the golden door!"
What building is that? I could only make out the word "center" on the sign, along with business hours.
