I watched the lovely Jenneke video *more than once* just to be absolutely positive - and I am fairly convinced that the "finger thing" you are referring to are "spirit fingers".
I was too busy tracking her bellybutton to notice any finger thing...

Not kidding here: I had this theory that no female human ever smiles as broadly as she does before her sixteenth birthday. When handed a stack or book of lifetime-smiley photos of the women I've known, the smiliest have always been younger than that age. My theory was that after that they've figured out how much of the world is about pain and disappointment, and the muscles just don't tug the face that far anymore.
I think Jenneke is 19.

Me either- it's like when that Kate Upton "cat-daddy dance" came out..
I've been a fan of the Boss for decades, know his music front and back, and would not have guessed he was depressive, fighting his depression by wearing himself out on stage. I always figured he just loved playing so much he didn't give a darn. The ironic thing is the extreme guilt (I have felt) since being prescribed Prozac for clinical depression. As they say, the only two things I technically enjoy are dopamine and seratonin.

Ain't it the truth?
Here's a lesson for the youngsters. I always kind of knew it intuitively, but I wish there'd been someone in my life to put it into words when I was just out of school (and even earlier than that). It falls into an important category: When a choice of solutions includes courage and something else, go with courage.

(PS Eric- I think boy stop smiling even a few years earlier than that, when they realize how long it's going to be before they can attract the kind of tail they want to attract.)

Going through old files. Brian's comment at the end of this stack was the best he ever made.

About Crid's theory- why limit that to females?
I know what I am reading this weekend:
