I've Always Wanted A Pony
I had hoped Popehat might give me one. But, Gregg has come through. He reports about my pony, "You can ride Sandy for a penny at Meijer Thrifty Acres in Allen Park, Michigan."

So Miss Alkon, did you go through the "I want a horse and riding lessons" phase when you were younger? My eldest daughter did just a little, but her sisters didn't seem that interested.

You know that bronze colored trash no one picks up anymore? That's a penny.

You can ride Sandy for a penny...
Most* Sandys can ride me for free.
*exceptions would be very large Sandys or, for example,
a Sandy like this.

I rode those penny ponies when I was a little boy and my kids have too. All Meijer stores still have at least on penny pony in them.
Great Michigan company.
