Stop-And-Frisk: Never Mind That A Woman Is Not A Man
Welcome to the police state, brought to you by all the Americans who couldn't care less about civil liberties, and make not a peep about their continual erosion these days, on various fronts. Wendy Ruderman writes in The New York Times of disgusting and abusive searches by NYC cops:
Crystal Pope, 22, said she and two female friends were frisked by male officers last year in Harlem Heights. The officers said they were looking for a rapist. It was an early spring evening at about 6:30 p.m. The three women sat talking on a bench near Ms. Pope's home on 143rd Street when the officers pulled up and asked for identification, she said."They tapped around the waistline of my jeans," Ms. Pope said. "They tapped the back pockets of my jeans, around my buttock. It was kind of disrespectful and degrading. It was uncalled-for. It made no sense. How are you going to stop three females when you are supposedly looking for a male rapist?"

Look on the bright side, Amy.
As soon as a Republican is elected president, people will start caring greatly about civil liberties again. Problem is, there will be four years of Obama precedents eroding those liberties.

For the first time in my life, I am truly scared of the future.

My head hurts thinking about this. It took me a few seconds to ponder this. Cops looking for rapist but decide to search some women.. ???? Okay maybe the rapist was a women. Going back checking article... no .. rapist was a man.... huh ??? why check the women.
The second shame is shame when the cops becoming too lazy and stupid to even trying to be deceitful or coming up with excuses. Come on what happened to the classic... "Joe I think I smell pot" or "Joe, I think I hear someone calling for help". Read a bit of the article and the search happened at 6:30pm at night. So not even I was suspicious of the women hanging around 2:00am excuse.
Things have become to easy for the police at times.

This post almost sounds like a script for a bad porn movie: "Hey, I'm looking for a cabbage thief! Take off your pants!"
I hereby submit the following: Police forces, like any organization, rot from the top. Who is the person who at least symbolizes the leadership of all police forces in the U.S.? The U.S. Attorney General. And it so happens that our current one, Eric Holder, is an obviously corrupt scumbag, a stereotypical Chicago cop on the take. The police are following the example set by the leadership.

I think someone needs to sue big time to reinforce the Terry Stop rules.

Well, you never know when a rapist-sympathizing woman will be harboring a rapist in her back pocket.

Again, people, read the memo: Cops Are Heroes. 9/11.

This title made me think of My Fair Lady, "Why Can't a Woman be More Like a Man"
