Amy, daughter #1 wears cat ears from time to time, looks adorable in them, and no one bothers her about it at all. She got them at some convention she went to, probably ComicCon here in CT. They're adorable, purple ears on a black band. When the band broke, after she'd had them only a few weeks, she sent them to the lady who made them, and she promptly (and without extra cost) replaced them! If I can find a picture, I'll send it to you.
