That's a really nice thought. They've been looking the other way for quite a while, now, so I'm thinking the number of fucks given by the Yard: 0.

This is a direct spot where the First Amendment, enforced with the Second Amendment, are a prudent and important basis for our existence, EVEN IF it doesn't look like direct actions...
It's a sad fact that they had those laws in the UK, but let them be diluted and changed, causing a negative effect. Our 2nd. is based on a similar law within the English Bill of Rights [from the 1600's], that until 1968 [in the UK] allowed you to have a weapon to protect yourself. Now it is quite difficult to have one legally.
Would they be able to have such a zone, if there was a likelihood that a regular guy or gal walking through there was a CCW permit holder?
If there was the backing guarantee that the government wouldn't establish a limit on free speech, and so there was a limited ability for anyone else to limit it in public... if there was a guarantee that the government wouldn't establish one religion or prefer one religion over another in those free speech rights...
This is a textbook case of what can happen when you give rights away thinking that we are all so modern and sophisticated that only barbarians would have a problem with anything...
The barbarians show up at the door, AND they co-opt your sophisticated schemes for their own use.
