I remember those days. Now, if I bump my elbow on a door frame, it's the end of life as we know it, at least for five minutes.

Also, I remember that I would rather have wet feet than wear boots. This is hilarious to me now, as it's almost April and I'm looking out on palm trees -- while wearing two fleece sweatshirts, a winter hat, and down booties. (Lucy is wearing a ski sweater, and is in the pocket of my fleece jacket.)

For the summer months, I'm getting her one of these to hang around in while I write and do things around the house -- though I'll buy it used on eBay (because I'll pay $16 for it -- not $74): New Native Organic Baby Sling

(My neighbor is selling hers on eBay -- too small for me, because she's a tiny person -- but let me try it on while she was photographing it.)
