Uncle Of Suspected Boston Bombers Speaks
From DallasNews, Todd Robberson says the uncle says "exactly the right thing at exactly the right moment." The video.
UPDATE: (Sorry -- scumbags at NDN Digital Media made this video play every time somebody opened this site. I've turned it into a link alone, much as I'd like to take this down entirely.)
Robberson writes:
I want Ruslan Tsarni to run for office or something. I can't ever remember someone of such humble roots emerging from complete obscurity to stand in front of the national media, speaking live to the nation, and speaking with such clarity, forcefulness and conviction. The uncle of Tamerlan and Dzhokhar Tsarnayev, the two prime suspects in the Boston bombings declared in no uncertain terms: "Of course we are ashamed!" These two young men, his nephews, are "losers" who come from a loser family that was unable to assimilate after receiving asylum in this country sometime around 2005-2006. Tsarni's brother, the father of the bombers, apparently couldn't find a job. Nor could the boys.
Whatever the cause of their bitterness, they apparently chose to lash out at America, the country that hosted them and gave them shelter from the many troubles facing their homeland, including a radical Islamist separatist movement that opposes Chechnya's absorption into Russia. Instead of being grateful to America for the opportunities this country offered them, they apparently chose to explode bombs and kill innocents who had nothing to do with the two young men's problems.

Lets look into Ruslan Tsarni a little before we draft him as the voice of reason when it comes to Islam.
He may be employing Taqiyya (see below). I'm not saying that's the case, but just verify his past.

The word "Taqiyya" literally means: "Concealing, precaution, guarding.” It is employed in disguising one's beliefs, intentions, convictions, ideas, feelings, opinions or strategies. In practical terms it is manifested as dissimulation, lying, deceiving, vexing and confounding with the intention of deflecting attention, foiling or pre-emptive blocking. It is currently employed in fending off and neutralising any criticism of Islam or Muslims.

Didn't even see this post. Islam Watch had posted about Taqiyya this morning.

I love it. If he denounces Islam, he's employing taqiyya.
Patrick at April 19, 2013 3:19 PM
Isn't it possible that he's lying?
Shouldn't we complete due diligence of his family before making any declarations of them pro or con?
JFP at April 19, 2013 3:27 PM
Oh, I see. Americans are allowed to be accepted at their word, but because he's from Chechnya, nothing he says can be taken as sincere.
I doubt he is truly going to demonize Islam on national (if not worldwide) television for the sake of Taquiya.
Patrick at April 19, 2013 5:42 PM
"because he's from Chechnya, nothing he says can be taken as sincere"
Either that or because he pretended to be a decent human being but slaughtered and maimed people with his cowardly bombing attack.
Maybe that's it.

"Oh, I see. Americans are allowed to be accepted at their word, but because he's from Chechnya, nothing he says can be taken as sincere."
Who said that? Don't see that here anywhere? Must be another post.

Autoplay commercial attached to video. That's...very anti-social.

Maybe we can take him at his word. But somehow the shock and denial of the other families seems more sincere. It seems like a more realistic reaction to finding out your relative who you loved was totally psycho.
Or maybe being from a different branch he really did always scorn this one.
NicoleK at April 19, 2013 7:52 PM
I gotta say I DO question the integrity of a guy who effectively says "Yeah I always hated those losers" about his family... it does feel a bit like he's covering his ass.
But I've never had a family member go nuts so who knows how I'd react.
NicoleK at April 19, 2013 7:54 PM
Uncle Ruslin is in a lose-lose situation. He condemns his nephews as losers and we doubt his sincerity, and suspect he might be distancing himself from his family to cover his own ass (and who could blame him?)
But if he took their side, tried to justify or excuse their actions, said he doesn't believe they did it or said they were falsely or mistakenly accused, what would we think of him then? More taqiyya?
I think I'll cautiously take Uncle Ruslin at his word (benefit of the doubt and all that) I like his response - the way he said it - when asked if he was ashamed: "Of course we're ashamed! Yes we're ashamed! They are children of my brother!" - as if he truly felt ashamed. Just taqiyya? I think a Muslim would be more inclined to employ taqiyya as a strategy to deflect shame, rather than accept it.
But who cares what Uncle Ruslin says anyway? Unless he's collaborating with terrorists or politicians, he doesn't really make much difference.
Interesting article about taqiyya:

They were interviewing another uncle in the Maryland area. What little was caught on video was also in the nature of disavowing the relatives as well.
My family had some very black sheep. They are known about by everyone in the family in a general sense, but no talks to or about them that much.
Side note: Amy or Gregg, please edit the link so it doesn't autoplay. Very irritating and wastes bandwidth.
Jim P. at April 19, 2013 10:36 PM
I second the anti-social thing.
Nothing more aggravating than a video that plays by itself.
If I want to watch a video, I know how to click on a 'play' button, thank you very much.
DrCos at April 20, 2013 4:49 AM
I see nothing odd about his ability to denounce his nephews and call them losers. He does defend his brother, which makes sense, as he was probably much closer to his brother. I would find it a little weird to hear a father denounce his sons so quickly, but an uncle who wasn't close seems like exactly the person you'd expect to call a loser a loser. Maybe my uncles are weird?
Jenny Had A Chance at April 20, 2013 6:12 AM
Well, since he's a Muslim, you know, that automatically makes him evil, so if he says something we agree with, he's only lying to cover his ass. And if he says something evil, he's just showing his true colors.
Must spend the rest of my life in fear of someone, you know.

We went to an LA Times Festival Of Books event last night, and I didn't have time to deal with this before I left. The scumbags that make this happen are NDN Digital Media -- now linked above.

I left a complaint there also and turned the video into a link above.

Micheal Moore's take on it:
Somehow I just can't consider a bomber just a "teenager".

"Somehow I just can't consider a bomber just a "teenager"."
This is how terror works. Walking around, this guy would be deadlier with a Ruger .22 pistol, but now he has Godlike status for having put something in a pressure cooker and setting it off.
If you don't have the will, you can't confront him. Those are the people who call those icky police for everything.
Fear. Buy more. You don't have enough. Tune in right now to hear how your neighbor kid can do the exact same thing!
Radwaste at April 23, 2013 3:27 PM
Oh, I know, my neighbor kid could do it.
But is Michael Moore responsible for his own security? Does he have body guards? Yes, he can then get away with calling the kid a kid.
But if he is like the majority of citizens in the Boston area, unarmed and a supplicant to the the local LEOs -- then the kid was a terrorist.
Just as a bully is a threat to you when alone, but in a crowd of your favorable to you is just another person.
