I think I spit on the Pope yesterday, because a friend of mine from college posted a picture of his breakfast. It was a plate full of blueberries, blackberries, strawberries, and some yellowish-orange fruit, possibly mango.
I commented, "No protein."
It seems my friend from college (who was my R.A.) is now a vegan, and so are most of his Facebook friends, so I was inundated with all the vegan propaganda.
Some insisted that all foods have protein, except for pulp-free processed fruit juice. I responded that the protein on that plate is negligible and probably incomplete.
My friend insisted that vegans are "big-hearted" and "compassionate." From what I saw, their most outstanding feature is their self-righteousness.
