The Part Many News Organizations Cut Out
The part where he says that (there are) "many, many ayahs through the Quran...that we must fight them as we fight us..."
A few of the lovely verses commanding violence against the "infidel":
Qur'an:9:5 -- "Fight and kill the disbelievers wherever you find them, take them captive, harass them, lie in wait and ambush them using every stratagem of war.Qur'an:9:29 -- "Fight those who do not believe until they all surrender, paying the protective tax in submission."
Qur'an:8:39 -- "Fight them until all opposition ends and all submit to Allah."
Qur'an:8:39 -- "So fight them until there is no more Fitnah (disbelief [non-Muslims]) and all submit to the religion of Allah alone (in the whole world)."
More here:
Muslims invest a quarter of their school day learning to recite the Qur'an -- not reading it or understanding it. They simply learn to mouth its sounds in the arcane, inadequate, and odd dialect of Religious Arabic. That way they can be fooled into believing that it's "God's Book," and that it's written intelligently. Ignorant, they can be indoctrinated and thus manipulated by clerics and kings. Even turned into human bombs when it serves Islam's interests. If Muslims were to shed their yoke of ignorance, they would discover that the real reason those who indoctrinate them, control them, suppress them, fleece them, and abuse them want them deceived is that the actual message contained in Allah's Book is horrendous. It is more intolerant, racist, punitive, and violent than Hitler's Mein Kampf. There are one hundred vicious verses for every nice one. The book inspires infinitely more terror than peace.

What's worst is that humanity has never faced anything like this before! This kind of religion is totally new in world affairs! Completely unprecedented!
We are so fucked!
Fortunately there are a few brilliant individuals who by dint of personal excellence and stalwart attentiveness are ready to warn us of the hazard!
But we're still so fucked, because Moozlims!

Crid, try reading the Quran and about Islam before posting comments like these.
Islam not a religion but a totalitarian system masquerading as a religion, and the Quran is to be taken literally as the word of Allah and raping, looting, child defiling Mohammed's deeds are to be emulated.
Look at the difference from the other day's post in Jesus and Mohammed. It's instructive. People may have done ill for Christianity but Jesus sure didn't tell them to. Mohammed COMMANDS violence, rape, enslavement, and all the rest -- against "the infidel."

Maybe you could lay some historical antecedents on us, dude. Not saying there aren't any, but if you're going to be glib, you need to call in some backup.

"What's worst is that humanity has never faced anything like this before!" in an age of the internet, with satellites, airlines, global travel, tv, radio, global brands, all covering and shrinking the earth, it is a real reach to explain and excuse today's horrible behavior in the name of religion by comparing it to how religions behaved in a world mostly bereft of science, education, and instant communication.

"If Muslims were to shed their yoke of ignorance, they would discover that the real reason..."
I think they are happy being ignorant. They've got a giant crutch to lean on and to make excuses with. Their "culture" and "religion" allow them to get away with murder. They justify their behavior with that yoke of ignorance. It is made for them they are petty, envious third worlders and their religion fits them. We'll never be able to reason with them or pacify them. Engaging with them, or dialogue, or educating them...none of that will work. They only respond to violence.

> try reading the Quran and about Islam before

I've read enough to know the stupidities are unremarkable. You're pretending to have secret knowledge. You do not.
Suddenly it's obvious that this is another argument which you can't find the courage to present in an affirmative manner. You can only tiptoe around the topic with innuendo and sarcasm, waiting for your reader to assume the worst possible thing, which you can't say out loud... And which, weirdly, you will find personally aggrandizing:
Your posture is reflexively defensive. No matter how many millenia of countermanding evidence are at hand, you will instantly cast the burden of proof to those who'd doubt your 'thesis' (unspoken and backhanded as it is), demanding 'studies':
> Maybe you could lay some historical antecedents
> on us, dude.
Rilly? We need to to this? Ok then! Go sick with this, "Dude."
Any other heartbreaks I can share with you guys today? Hmmm... Just for starters, please know that the insides of beautiful supermodel's bodies aren't made of candy circus peanuts and colorful rainbows: Beautiful supermodels are built of blood and guts and shit and bones, just like everyone else.
But your illusions are sensationally entertaining!
> it is a real reach to explain and excuse
> today's horrible behavior
Could you be that naive? Do you mean any single word of what you've just written?
Do you think anyone was "excusing" anything? Can you quote the exact words where something was "excused"?
More importantly, do you think that regions of the world where violent Islam is most closely embraced are places with "the internet, with satellites, airlines, global travel, tv, radio, global brands"?
You guys have really come to believe that your lives, and the comforts of your lives, are the norm. You think all these great things have happened to you because you deserve them, somehow. You think you made them happen, instead of just happening to be born into the cultures where they're present.
It's childish and pathetic.
…But jeezus fuck is it entertaining!

Crid, the rest of us in US society don't feel like spending the next 1200+ years domesticating Islam while we get blown up and hacked into pieces walking down the street. It needs to stop now, not eventually.
I don't feel like giving people a pass because others, somewhere, a long time ago, used to be just as bad.
momof4 at May 24, 2013 3:47 PM
Does anyone know what Crid's point is? I do not understand his problem with Amy/Islam. He seems to be off the deep end in his responses and my attempts to find out have been futile. Maybe I am not smart enough to understand.
I care about what radical islamists do here, like at the marathon. I do not see Christians doing that kind of murder and do not care that, historically, they may have been bastards.

Did anyone every say otherwise?…
…Or just that it's silly to pretend this is new?
Fascinating thing about them Moozlims, they can make people see (and read) things that aren't even there! And it's a tentacled superpower... Because when you ask one of the tragic victims to explain what's in front of them, it gets real quiet!
I mean, consider M4 here, who thinks she's been asked to wait "the next 1200+ years" to deal with them…
I know! Weird, right?

Jesus Christ Crid, that's it? That's your point. That's why you have been attacking Amy and others. Fuck, thanks for the info I must have missed before. I must say that you sure brought up a lot of ire for nothing. I was just not smart enough to understand, or maybe, just maybe, your ability to communicate is lacking sometimes. At least I appear to be in good company. You don't appear to have any company.

BTW do you know why the shores of Tripoli is in the Marine Corps hymn?
What about why the Crusades happened:
So claiming the Moozlim threat is transitory
falls well short of reassuring. It actually falls more into the total bullshit category. So please give me some reason why we shouldn't kill them like we would kill locusts?

> That's why you have been attacking Amy
> and others.
Yep; this shouldn't be a surprise to you. If you go back to look at each of these little episodes, you'll see the point made contemporaneously in each instance, and with thundering clarity.
But in each case, rabid zombies would shake their heads as hard as possible to make sure they couldn't see what was really on their screen, so they could see something else. They know the argument they want to have, and they'll accept no other. They'll see imaginary words, they'll hear spooky voices in their heads....
Like this:
> claiming the Moozlim threat is transitory
Who said it was 'transitory'?
I'm beginning to understand how politicians do their voodoo.
People are fuckin' nuts.
Crid [CridComment at Gmail] at May 24, 2013 9:40 PM
I'm not going to bother searching for the answer. You are now acknowledging that Moozlim terrorism is a long term problem?
What is your suggestion for ending this long term problem?
Jim P. at May 24, 2013 11:03 PM
> I'm not going to bother searching for the answer
Your sensibilities are repeatedly and grievously wounded, but you can't ever say why. I already used the Dark City analogy, right? Right.
Crid [CridComment at Gmail] at May 25, 2013 12:28 AM
Yes, you did. It would help if those references you linked to still exited.
Why not teach 21st-century Moozlims that if they try to make a land grab, the rest of us will put a pistol to their temple and ask them to recite some Scripture... And if we don't hear some suitably milquetoast prattle about humility and the importance of keeping one's hands to oneself, we will blow their motherfucking skullcaps wide open?
Jim P. at May 25, 2013 8:27 AM

What really died at Auschwitz?
Here's an interesting viewpoint. The following is a copy of an article written by Spanish writer Sebastian Vilar Rodrigez and published in a Spanish newspaper on Jan.15, 2011. It doesn't take much imagination to extrapolate the message to the rest of Europe - and possibly to the rest of the world.
THIS WAS IN A SPANISH NEWSPAPER:
"EUROPEAN LIFE DIED IN AUSCHWITZ"
By Sebastian Vilar Rodrigez
"I walked down the street in Barcelona and suddenly discovered a terrible truth - Europe died in Auschwitz .. We killed six million Jews and replaced them with 20 million Muslims. In Auschwitz we burned a culture, thought, creativity, and talent. We destroyed the chosen people, truly chosen, because they produced great and wonderful people who changed the world.
The contribution of this people is felt in all areas of life: science, art, international trade, and above all, as the conscience of the world. These are the people we burned.
And under the pretence of tolerance, and because we wanted to prove to ourselves that we were cured of the disease of racism, we opened our gates to 20 million Muslims, who brought us stupidity and ignorance, religious extremism and lack of tolerance, crime and poverty, due to an unwillingness to work and support their families with pride.
They have blown up our trains and turned our beautiful Spanish cities into the third world, drowning in filth and crime. Shut up in the apartments they receive free from the government, they plan the murder and destruction of their naive hosts.
And thus, in our misery, we have exchanged culture for fanatical hatred, creative skill for destructive skill, intelligence for backwardness and superstition. We have exchanged the pursuit of peace of the Jews of Europe and their talent for a better future for their children, their determined clinging to life because life is holy, for those who pursue death, for people consumed by the desire for death for themselves and others, for our children and theirs.
What a terrible mistake was made by miserable Europe. A lot of Americans have become so insulated from reality that they imagine America can suffer defeat without any inconvenience to
them. Recently, the UK debated whether to remove The Holocaust from its school curriculum because it 'offends' the Muslim population which claims it never occurred. It is not removed as yet. However, this is a frightening portent of the fear that is gripping the world and how easily each country is giving in to it.
It is now more than sixty years after the Second World War in Europe ended. This e-mail is being sent as a memorial chain, in memory of the six million Jews, twenty million Russians, ten million Christians, and nineteen-hundred Catholic priests who were 'murdered, raped, burned, starved, beaten, experimented on and humiliated. 'Now, more than ever, with Iran , among others, claiming the Holocaust to be 'a myth,' it is imperative to make sure the world never forgets.
This e-mail is intended to reach 400 million people. Be a link in the memorial chain and help distribute this around the world.
How many years will it be before the attack on the World Trade Center 'NEVER HAPPENED' because it offends some Muslim in the United States? If our Judeo-Christian heritage is offensive to Muslims, they should pack up and move to Iran, Iraq or some other Muslim country.
Please do not just delete this message; it will take only a minute to pass this along. We must wake up America before it's too late.
I'm afraid it is too late.
