When We Go On To Live In Terror, We Have Let The Terrorists Win

"Break out the checkered flag, folks, because I have breaking news: Tamerlane Tsarnaev has won the Indianapolis 500!DHS and TSA are "assisting" with entry security at the race today and TV news is showing lines tens of thousands long, snaking around the block from each entrance..."
Of course, if somebody really wants to do harm, and they aren't entirely dim, they aren't going to be stopped by the pantygroper squads.
Don't be swayed by the pretense of security. This isn't about security at all but prepping all of us to give up our rights with ease and maybe a "Yes, Sir" or "Yes Ma'am," to boot.

Is there any oversight to TSA/DHS involvement?
A list of locations and events they have run security on in the past 30 days?
A Congressional committee that provides oversight?
Why isn't there a reporter these days, "heckling" the President in the manner of Sam Donaldson, performing the traditional role of the 4th estate?

Not to worry, the President has announced we have overcome terrorists and will be reverting to a pre 9/11 mindset. So, he presumably will be working on plans to dismantle DHS and TSA, much as he is working on plans to pull out of Afghanistan.

There are a lot of Somalis in my area. I have yet to see one smile or acknowledge my hello. They are not Minnesota nice.

There's no ammo left on the shelves here in CT, either, Dave. And that's because everybody's stock-piling ammo, because the government is. Over 1 billion rounds. Nice, huh?
BF and I have been trying to get ammo for his .380, his .45, and my .30 06, as well as my .17 and my .243. Winchester rounds are all that are left(and that was just ONE box, and some kid almost grabbed it), and I want Remington. We ordered a bunch from Cabela's, but those are on back-order. It seems the feces will be making contact with the oscillating rotor sooner than later. Our government is screwing us royally. We need to be afraid of THEM, for THEY are the ones becoming terrorists.

Reports from my friends who were at the race yesterday say that it was a huge cluster. Lots of people did not get through the gates in time to see the start of the race, after standing in line for hours.

Indeed, but... how does making spectators take off their shoes and belts prevent that?
