I had serious reservations about prosecuting the girls whose cyberbullying drove Rebecca Sedwick to throw herself off a water tower at an abandoned concrete plant.
You have the right to say obnoxious, hateful and cruel things under the First Amendment. This is protected speech. Yes, there are definitely restrictions upon your speech, but insults aren't among them.
Then I saw this on the news today. Vivian Vosburg (Rebecca Sedwick's tormentor's mother) is busily punching children, left in her care, in the face.
She claims she did this to break up their fight. Well, that's certainly one way to get your kids to stop hitting each other. Just show the little brats your left hook.
And so detached from reality she is (Write that last phrase Yoda did!), that she actually posted this video to the internet. She evidently sees nothing wrong with this!
Such a shame she was arrested. If I had known about this sooner, I would have hired two fourteen-year-old black belts to pretend to my kids, then hire her to babysit them. I'd then ask them to stage a fight. When she tries to break it up, in her own inimitable style, anything they do to her would fall within the parameters of self-defense.

Cunning criminals? Not these guys, from the look of it. Advice to robbers: If you're gonna rob, don't show off.

Ruins, wrecks, and lost bits of history have always fascinated me. Here's an interesting story about finding and exploring wrecks from the Battle of the Atlantic, a lengthy but pivotal part of WWII which is in some ways overshadowed by shorter but more dramatic engagements.
