The problem was that back in the day, women weren't allowed to get naked for work as models, so the artist had to pay the girliest man in the neighborhood to take his shirt off.

Long Island Brownshirts, er, Housing Enforcement Unit to conduct house-to-house searches for "illegal tenants". Wording of the article implies that they will seek an extra-Constitutional method of legalizing them, such as a general warrant. They are also encouraging people to turn in their friends and neighbors. No word on whether those who do so will be rewarded with cushy government jobs, or just taken out back and shot once they have outlived their usefulness.

Have you noticed the metronomic drip of reports from that region over the last three weeks?
Every 28 to 32 hours, we've had another volley of breathless tweets or news stories about fresh aerial or satellite photography which might be showing debris from a crash of MH370. (It's always a tiny, shaded rectangle in a field of gray noise.)
None of them has paid off. You'll have noticed that Jeff Guinn, who knows more about this than you or I do, has not been too concerned about these reports. There's a lot of trash in the oceans.
But the wager with Jeff is for ten years. And in this decade, the volume of ocean data of all kinds is expanding tremendously.
Just a few hours ago, this internet artifact was forgivably glib…

…By midnight Pacific, it wasn't such a good snicker.
Colbert might have warned us that this was no weekend for ironic sarcasm regarding Asians. (Link from VPostrel)

> The degree to which Eve looks like
> Immanuel Kant in this Dürer engraving…
I've cited this before on this blog (it's now the number two link for the passage on Google, right after Cammy herself).
But Paglia has noted this problem in other works of art: "Who would care to suck such sour pippins?"

They'll find it. Plenty of time.
