Why am I awake at 4am? Of course because there's a bird outside my window shrieking, "Wake up, dumbass!" in bird language. (Any pellet gun stores that deliver 24/7?)

We have some species around here that spend a lot of time on the ground for some reason. Maybe they don't realize they can fly. I've seen dead ones in the road, so I know it's possible to hit one with your car, but I haven't managed that yet.

The technical term for that time of day is "Bird-Thirty" here in Indiana.

awww, come on.
Birds are cute, the sing nice little melodies, they eat lots of pesky mosquitoes and other bugs. They fly around so freely.
Birds are rather sweet; especially barbequed sparrows on a stick. yum!
