The Bipolar boards get dark at times and suicide is a common topic. I've talked bi-polars I know and online out of it but from my perspective, which isn't one that I openly discuss.

It's so rarely practiced by those who could benefit most.

I don't think that's ever the solution. This too, shall pass, right? Depression is an ugly sumbitch. 90% of folks who commit suicide have some form of mental illness or substance abuse. My heart is heavy for Robin Williams' loved ones today. He was masterful at his craft and I enjoyed every episode of his latest little sitcom. Sad to see it was canceled (it shouldn't have been), and I hope that didn't contribute to his depression, though I suppose it did. Just awful all around.

Many typical afflictions do not in fact pass.
People shouldn't be glib about suicide when they're young and fit and unprepared for a life in senior torment and disability. Neither should they be too eager to shuck their lives away in a mundane afternoon of unpleasantness.
Being too sunny is as ugly as being too grim. Most days of most lives aren't berries and cream, and it does no good to talk as if they are, or should be.
So very sad. But I wonder, why did it take Robin killing himself to shine the spotlight on depression so brightly this time? Lotsa famous people have taken their lives because they were depressed.
But yeah, Genie. I'm gonna miss you.

Becuase he was a "happy" person. Most of the famous people who intentionally kill themselves in a manner that cant be deemed an "Accidental" overdose arent outwardly perceived as happy.
You know what I want to know. How long was he dead? Why did his assistant get worried and go looking for him within an hour of his wife leaving the house completely unconcerned about him?
Good.
This again.

I plan on killing myself if I live long enough. I'm leaning towards heroin and insulin.
