Amy, I'd be interested in your feedback on this. Since you're a writer, you're not bound by office hours requiring you to be at a certain place at a certain time.
This Salon article contends that humans are not designed to sleep in one eight-hour chunk, but two four-hour chunks with a one-to-two hour intermission.
Has that been your experience?

Before I read the article, I thought - they woke up and had good sex, then went back to bed. Sure enough, that's pretty much what happened. It sounds like a good idea to try instead of the prescription sleep meds out there.
The high school biology question, that escaped the limitations of good taste or sensitivity.
