Got A Penis? You're Guilty. Even If You're Not. Even If You're Actually The Victim
In the new victim feminism-driven world order, being male means you should consider yourself luck you aren't already in jail. (Leave your balls on that chair by the door, then crawl into the room and sit on the floor considering your shameful male privilege -- and P.S. even worse if you're a white man. Hisssss!)
That probably sounds like an exaggeration. And it is -- a little. But not that much of one, considering how Amherst College just expelled a male student for the crime of...uh, wait -- being sexually assaulted while he was blacked out drunk.
The thing is, the female student reported him for assaulting her. And never mind that the evidence is on his side of things. The college gave him the boot.
Well, now he's suing, and Ashe Schow in the WashEx lays out what happened:
Doe accompanied the accuser (who was Doe's girlfriend's roommate) to her dorm room. The accuser performed oral sex on a blacked out Doe (Johnson notes that even the Amherst hearing found Doe's account of being blacked out "credible"). Doe leaves. The accuser then texted two people: First, a male student she had a crush on -- whom she invited over after a heavily flirtatious exchange earlier in the evening. Then, a female friend. The accuser said during her hearing that she only texted one friend to help her handle the assault as she felt "very alone and confused." But her texts with her female friend give no indication of an assault. Rather, the accuser texted her friend "Ohmygod I jus did something so fuckig stupid" [sic throughout]. She then proceeded to fret that she had done something wrong and her roommate would never talk to her again, because "it's pretty obvi I wasn't an innocent bystander."
She also complained that the other man, who had come over after the alleged assault, had taken until 5 in the morning to finally have sex with her.
The accuser found herself friendless after the encounter, when her roommate discovered what she had done.
Between the encounter with Doe and the accusation -- nearly two years later -- the accuser developed new friends. And as it happens, these new friends were all "victims' advocates."
Check out the Kafkaesque ruling -- reported by K.C. Johnson at MindingTheCampus:
It ruled that while Doe likely was "blacked out" during the oral sex, "[b]eing intoxicated or impaired by drugs or alcohol is never an excuse." Since AS said she withdrew consent at some point during the sexual act, and since Doe couldn't challenge that recollection, the panel was at least 50.01 percent inclined to believe the accuser's tale.
This is now what stands in for due process and justice on college campuses.
Sending your son to college? Besides the cost of his education, textbooks, food, and housing, I suggest you provide him with a hooker fund. Yes, the safe way for young men to have sex on campus is now by time-sharing an escort. (Think of it as expulsion insurance.)

Spot on. In addition to efforts to have "The Talk" you recommend with young men going off to college, upperclassmen should sit the new guy down and explain to him the risks he faces socializing with women who attend his own school. He needs to understand in concrete terms that his reputation, career, financial prospects, degree, and clean rap sheet are all at stake.
That would also put pressure on the schools. Society only listens to women, so universities won't moderate their anti-male witchhunt until women voice their own pain. Women know instinctively Susan Patton was right: they will never again be surrounded by so many eligible young men. If the men there won't date them, their own life-plans are at risk.
Further, a school that earns a reputation as a date desert won't be able to attract top women students. Top women students have choice, and can go anywhere. Over time, the academic standards of the school will decline, along with the tuition it can charge. That in turn threatens salaries for professors and administrators. It might take a decade or two for that to bite, but IMO a school that persists in maintaining an anti-male agenda will pay a price for its politically-motivated war against men.

I'm sure if you look, you can find isolated examples of every imaginable sort of miscarriage of justice. But is this sort of thing really typical now?
(This is not a rhetorical question; I have no first-hand knowledge to support either a yes or no answer.)

So let me get this straight - she was giving an unconscious man a blow job, then at some point in time she withdrew her consent to giving an unconscious man a blow job,but she didn't stop giving the blow job and some how he is guilty of sexual assault? These people are fucking insane.
matt at June 11, 2015 11:52 PM
Wow. She raped him twice and it was Amherst with the assist. You go grrl. Check your reasoning skills at the Student Affairs Office. You won't be needing them for your journey to Bizzaro World.

Given this sort of thing is quite literally DEMANDED by the federal government, yes.
she was giving an unconscious man a blow job
Technically he was conscious but so drunk as to be unable to retain the memory.
But please keep deliberately interchanging the two, and when women point it out the technical difference call them rape apologists, and continue to say he was passed out no matter how many times they argue he wasnt

Yes, miscarriage of justice is now business as usual against young men on campus.
The headline on this blog post would have seemed a wild exaggeration just a few years ago.

Anyone who sends a straight son to a private liberal university in this day and age is crazy. At least public schools have a semblance of due process.

Since when? most of them have an inquisition similar to Amherst's. The "Dear Colleague" letter from DoJ set that in motion. Remember, they can expel you if they think you're 50.00001% responsible. And going into such hearings, you're already at 50%, because as we all know women don't lie about such things.
In addition to the other suggestions offered up, I would counsel young men to put their campus Title IX coordinator's phone number in their contacts list. If any fellow student touches you, hugs you, or kisses you without your consent file a complaint. Immediately, unless the touching was inadvertent and accompanied by a "pardon me".
Make the bureaucracies work according to their rules. Swamp them in paper work. Punch back twice as hard. Do not give them quarter, because none will be given to you.

OK. How far is it to the point where a male student is expelled for not providing sex on demand?

My bad for not catching the distinction.

Coming soon to a campus near you.

This reminds me so much of Monica Byrne. She starts a conversation about sex, then accuses the other of "making her uncomfortable with a conversation about sex." A conversation that not only did she not try to stop, but encouraged. She is so full of shit, may all of her teeth fall out.

There are other countries with good universities that don't subscribe to this idiocy. Or, you could just accept the fact that if this happens, and you sue, you'll win.

I'm sure you're aware that that's likely to get a student suspended, since it's illegal. Parents wouldn't want to risk that - if they would ever consider giving approval or payment at all. Most parents of sons will see this as so much paranoia.
However, if "dollhouses" ever come into existence (with the new sex dolls as portrayed in Vanity Fair, I mean), I trust THOSE will be legal and cheaper than hiring hookers. Besides, leaving aside the fear of false accusations at college, after reading the article below, I was pretty convinced that for the average unattached man, the holy grail isn't better male birth control, it's condomless sex with no responsibility whatsoever - something that even macho conservative childfree married men don't always have. (Now, if only the MRAs would admit that that's what single men really want...)

Examples of abuse listed on the University of Michigan’s domestic violence awareness website say “sexual violence” includes “withholding sex and affection” and “discounting the partner’s feelings regarding sex”

All I can say, I hope he wins this lawsuit. Not only for his sake, but the administrators of Amherst need a serious kick in the head.

Ah. Good times.
