The President Stood Up For Free Speech On Campus -- But He Didn't Mean Middle School Campuses
An excerpt from the President's talk at a Des Moines, Iowa, town hall:
The purpose of college is not just to transmit skills. It's also to widen your horizons; to make you a better citizen; to help you to evaluate information, to help you make your way through the world; to help you be more creative. The way to do that is to create a space where a lot of ideas are presented and collide -- where people are having arguments and people are testing each other's theories, and over time people learn from each other because they're getting out of their own narrow point of view and having a broader point of view.
...But it was because there was this space where you could interact with people who didn't agree with you, and had different backgrounds than you, that I then started testing my own assumptions, and sometimes I changed my mind.
Sometimes I realized, "You know what, maybe I've been too narrow-minded. Maybe I didn't take this into account. Maybe I should see this person's perspective."
I didn't blog this because, knowing what I know of the President's thinking, I kind of felt it was bullshit. The guy is no friend to free speech -- well, except for free speech he agrees with...free speech that helps his causes and his party.
Well, it didn't take him long to reveal that his sudden free speech platform was bullshit -- with the blocking of a young conservative activist from seeing or responding to his Twitter feed," conservative YouTube sensation CJ Pearson, a 13-year-old black middle schooler from Georgia."
Way to hear all points of view!

If he had a son, he would look just like this kid he blocked on Twitter
HOAX ALERT: From PJ Media.
WHAT REMAINS THE SAME: President's shitty record on free speech.
Yep, Let's not forget that for Obama's very first election he used election rules to have his opponents removed from the ballot.

Of all the things that piss me off about Obama, I think this one is the worst: he's petty. How many fucking things should the (shitty) leader of the free world be spending his mental bandwidth on-and THIS is how he uses it? Worrying about some kids youtube videos? I'm just an RN with 4 kids and a house and 2 cats and 2 dogs. I'm not trying to balance multinational wars, but even I don't have time for that shit.
How this small, insecure idiot ever got reelected, the world will just never know.

You should hear Nancy Pelosi trying to church it up.
'My favorite word is, the word. It is a powerful word. A transformative word. Without it I don't know where I would be. Yes, the word.'
It felt like Homer and the 'If you want to break the spider's curse, simply recite a bible verse.' Homer, 'Um, Um, Thou shalt not ... Ahhh', *hits the spider with a rock*.
If you are going to lie I want a good lie. Don't tell me the Walmart greeters are there to welcome me to the store and help me find what I need. They are there to prevent theft, and that's OK. I may be greedy, but if you want to baffle me with bullshit I want the diamond dusted bullshit. The halfhearted throwing of a cow patty just pisses me off. Obviously I wasn't important enough for you to think up a good lie.

'My favorite word is, the word. It is a powerful word. A transformative word. Without it I don't know where I would be. Yes, the word.'
Bird is the word. Bird bird bird. And that makes about as much sense as anything that comes out of Washington these days. I think one of the reasons they devalue free speech is that most of them are really poor at it.

He seems to be a very smart kid, but still just a middle schooler.
Apart from photoshop, most browsers include everything you need to fake a "you're blocked" page. In Chrome, it's ctrl-shift-i "inspect element".
Much better proof (still not definitive these days) he is blocked is not a screenshot, it would be a video of him opening up a browser, logging into twitter, and clicking on @potus.

I don't think C.J.'s claim requires extraordinary proof. It's easy to believe this white house is that petty.

He's lucky he got that close.
The Supreme Court has ruled that only supporters of the President are allowed to get within whatever distance the Secret Service deems comfy.
"People are not at liberty to speak whenever, however, and wherever they please," Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg ruled for the court.

This, coming from a guy who was famously disengaged as a law school professor at the University of Chicago.

Given the past history of this White House, and I mean to include not just the President; but, all of his staff as well, I could very well see someone blocking this kid and than trying to cover it up.
Such a cover up is kid's stuff (pun intended) compared to Benghazi, Fast and Furious, etc. Why not block a kid who tells it like it is; and then deny, deny, deny? It is a method that has worked so well for this White House when the MSM believes everything they say. Heck, the MSM goes out of their way to cover for this White House.
Momof4; I agree Obama is VERY petty. And that is the one thing that irks me about Trump - he comes across the same way.

Charles, I had not thought about it, but you're right. They are both people who nurse and carry grudges.

I'm notta fan of Obummer but it looks like this kid might've stolen this from NFL writer extraordinaire @pftcommenter
