Worse, the sushi rice was undercooked in a way that was, according to one student, “disrespectful” of her culture. Tomoyo Joshi, a junior from Japan, was highly offended by this flagrant violation of her rice. “If people not from that heritage take food, modify it and serve it as ‘authentic,’ it is appropriative,” she said.
Yes it is an appropriation. That's what we do: take your food, modify it and eat it ourselves. Hint: go to Italy and order a pizza. Guess what? it doesn't look or taste like Papa Johns.

Wherever ISIS goes, disease and pestilence is sure to follow.
I looked, and behold, an ashen horse; and he who sat on it had the name Death; and Hades was following with him. Authority was given to them over a fourth of the earth, to kill with sword and with famine and with pestilence and by the wild beasts of the earth.

Bernie Sanders seems to think that you're on the road to college or the road to jail. Instapundit sets him straight:
But homeownership and college aren’t causes of middle-class status, they’re evidence of the kinds of traits — self-discipline, the ability to defer gratification, etc. — that let you enter, and stay, in the middle class. Subsidizing the markers doesn’t produce the traits; if anything, it undermines them. (I would dub this rule “Reynolds’ Law,” except that someone else already did).
So Bernie’s wrong. If there are fewer college educated people in jail, it’s not because of anything college did to keep them out. If you want fewer people in jail, you need to encourage the kind of traits that form non-criminal personalities. That’s a process that starts much, much earlier than college.
You can't make this stuff up as even pirates know better.
(Is this an example of 'black privilege'?

Actually, Bob, you can make that up. That's a photoshop.
The problem with making such signs on a background that can be easily chromakeyed: it can be replaced with any message the photoshopper wants to put on your sign. And it doesn't take much effort or knowledge.
As satire, it works well. There have been more than a few family members who decried the death of their kin with he was only trying to steal your money, you didn't need to shoot him!
If that's the case, why did he skip the TV and try to enter my bedroom? in those cases, I would invoke Maxim 37: There is no 'overkill.' There is only 'open fire' and 'reload.'
Oberlin's special snowflakes are back at it:

And Clint Eastwood rides into the tinpans' camp!
