Well, much better said than what psychologists and/or counselors say here in the Caribbean, which it always ends up with them saying that the lack of Jesus Christ is what is tearing the family apart.

Philadelphia was host to White Privilege Conference 2016 this weekend, where the attendees blamed the evils of society on everything from the “Christian hegemony,” to people not using Justice Sonia Sotomayor‘s name for their computer password. The Daily Caller provided extensive coverage of this PC minefield-of-a-conference, but what might have been the weirdest thing of all was when participants decided that the conference itself had become a bastion of white supremacy.
I'm guessing that family gatherings are a little awkward.

Someone tried to match Churchill drink for drink and it ends about as well as you would expect:
One thing is certain: his fondness for kickstarting the day with what he called “mouthwash” -- a weak whisky and soda, which he would take from about 9.30 onwards and keep continually topped up. But the whisky (simple Johnnie Walker, no fancy malt) would only just cover the bottom of the tumbler; the bulk of the drink was soda.
It’s a rather delightful way to start the day, as I discover. Especially, when consumed in bed. Churchill would frequently spend all morning in his dressing gown, under the covers, surrounded by papers and secretaries. He would also happily have meetings while taking a hot bath -- a habit I did not attempt to replicate.
I'll give the author a clue: Sir Winston didn't wake up one morning and start that drinking regimine. No, he worked into it over his entire life. And I'll admit, when I doctor my coffee with something a bit stronger than creamer, it is indeed a pleasant way to start the day.

Bad things can happen to you when you fib to Congress:
Department of Veterans Affairs Undersecretary David Shulkin assured the House Veterans Affairs Committee Tuesday that an agency employee who participated in an armed robbery during her off-duty hours had been fired. Committee Chairman Rep. Jeff Miller wasn’t buying it.
The Daily Caller News Foundation Investigative Group’s Luke Rosiak reports what happened next: “But in the final seconds of Tuesday’s hearing, Miller, a Florida Republican, returned from outside the hearing room and announced that ‘I just confirmed with the Caribbean Healthcare System that the individual we were discussing is still on the payroll.’”

"That's the world I grew up in, a liberal, Democratically-leaning Chicago that was about tolerance and free speech, not 'shut it down because it's unpleasant'... The lack of tolerance of ideas and other points of view is the great Achilles heel of the social justice warrior movement."
On Monday, the House passed a bill in a 66-22 vote that would prevent state funds from being used to support Sex Week events, to promote gender neutral pronouns, to promote or inhibit religious holidays or to fund the UT diversity office. Funds would be redirected for "In God We Trust" decals for law enforcement and minority engineering scholarships. Currently, no state funds support Sex Week events.

This girl wants her parents prosecuted for denying her care at birth. She's now waiting on a heart and lung transplant.
