Equality, 2016, By The Obama Admin: College-Attending Women Are Now Treated Like Cats Or Plants
And men are criminals -- if they say so.
The "Dear Colleague" Title IX letter has led to truly horrible treatment of men on campuses -- a removal of their rights -- along with treating women as if they are not people who can make decisions for themselves whether they have been victimized or chose, willingly, to have sex.
This case is not to be believed. From Western Journalism's Jessica Denis:
Grant Neal's case is one that you may have heard of and is now poised to be a landmark case as he is the first to take on the Office for Civil Rights, the Department of Education and the Obama administration....He took a young woman out on a date. They proceeded to have intercourse. The next day someone noticed a hickey on the woman's neck and reported a violent rape occurred. According to court documents, the presumption of rape was made by a third party due to Neal's "status as a high profile football player."
After a faulty process, accusations of conflict of interest on the part of Colorado State University, Pueblo, and changes in testimony -- and despite the fact that Jane Doe has since day one insisted she was not raped -- Neal was found responsible. He was removed from campus, he lost his football and wrestling scholarships, and no other college will admit him with the black mark on his transcripts.
During my conversation with Neal, he said, "I am not afraid to stand up and fight for this issue. There are so many who either don't have the ability or the strength to go through this process. I will fight for them too."
Prior to this, Neal had a 3.67 GPA and was pursuing a pre-med degree. He was excelling in all of his classes and handling the twists and turns of college life exceptionally.
Now he has a job and is doing what he can while he waits for the call that the wheels of justice have finally gotten out of the mud and decided to turn. Neal is keeping himself in shape in the hopes that he will be able to rejoin his teammates playing the sports he loves.
Denis winds her piece up with this:
In some colleges, the Title IX coordinator has only eight hours of training. I was contacted by a student at the University of Minnesota with his concerns that these cases on his campus will be adjudicated by a panel of three students. This is not mock trial. This is real life. Students and officials trained for eight hours do not have the capacity to collect evidence, conduct investigations and cross-examine. I would bet that the majority have never even read the Constitution in its entirety. How can they be the ones determining these young people's futures?
Rape is a criminal accusation, which belongs in the criminal justice system -- a system complete with due process. Even for men.

This is absolutely ridiculous! So now a person who wasn't even involved can cry rape on behalf of another?
I weep for the future.

Yes Daghain. And accusation equals guilt.
Even better, the defense the Department of Education is using against Grant Neal is that the 'Dear Colleague' letter is not a law or rule and is not binding on colleges. They are also claiming they haven't harmed anyone. It is the schools (following their non-voluntary letter) that have harmed Neal. So they therefor should not be sue-able.
It fits right in with the doublespeak the IRS is using in their continuing lawsuits over suppressing Tea Party groups. The IRS claims it can't release to the courts who and how they've harmed people because that would violate the privacy of their victims. In addition they claim they can't stop discriminating against their victims as long as the lawsuit continues.
Even left-wing judges are starting to get fed up with the Obama administration's overreach.

Nothing new. Hardly the most egregious case out there. Best of luck to this kid. Young men on college campuses are experiencing the same consequences for far less. Oh well. New career. Retiring in 6 years. Popcorn is...here...can of coke is ...here... ostriches, equivocators and apologists take your places aaaaaand Action!

Title IX is just a disarming way to spell lynch mob.

Because those 8 hours of indoctrination is better than the 8 years of education that lawyers get. Guarantees the outcome you want, too.
That's assuming the desire is to have due process. It's not.
These are show trials for those who refuse to embrace the orthodoxy. Like the old Soviet trials for dissidents and those who fell out of favor, they're designed to intimidate the masses. A trial for a college student accused of rape ensures that all male students from that school will walk on eggshells around vocal women from then on.
Notice how an unknown college student accused of rape is thrown to the lions, but a well connected politician who is not only accused of rape, but uses his feminist wife and friends to cover it up (Bill Clinton) not only gets a pass, but gets his wife a spot on the Democratic ticket.
