What's Needed Is Not A War On Terror But Honesty On Islam
This is Maajid Nawaz's explanation of the failure of the "War on Terror" -- which was never the answer.
It's just whack-a-mole -- and al Qaeda (and the rest) just pop right back up in some new location.
And then there's the problem of the lone wolf terrorists -- popping up where they are to stab, shoot, or blow the "infidels" up. (That would be the rest of us.)

So, you think we are in a *war of words* here? Or we should be?

Well, since an IED has gone off in NYC and another discovered, and a knife attack by a man asking if his victims were Muslim has occurred, we'll see if this gets serious.
I imagine the pressure for "street justice" will reach initiate-fusion levels in NYC at least.

"a knife attack by a man asking if his victims were Muslim"
This is what happened in the mall attack in Kenya -- perpetrated by Muslims, just to be clear. Muslims are not supposed to murder other Muslims, but infidels are different. "Dirty kuffars."
No, Isab, and I don't have the answer, but pretending that Islam is a religion of peace sure isn't the answer and the war on terror doesn't change the deadly totalitarianism that is part of Islam.

"War of words" is exactly what's missing. Our military is being handicapped but that will change in the next election IMO.
The President has missed out (on purpose? as he's not stupid) the need for those that believe their "moderate" Islamic belief is compatible w/modern society to have MSM coverage 24/7 (vetted to make sure it's not just a cover for Middle East public relations/funding).
No hiding the BS. No hiding the support for the PLO/boycott Israel types. All in the open for the public to decide "which" Islamic speakers are "moderate" and which ones are not. This would destroy the current "official" parties currently given cover by colleges, Obama, and MSM.
The "moderate, we are peace muslim imams" that get targeted by ISIS types would show who is who (esp. if MSM followed the money) and give Americans clear examples "who" is our enemy, "who" needs support and protection.
Why not allow these different Islamic groups to hide in the 1.6 billion populus. Who gains by this lack of exposure. To me the answer is obvious if you look at Obama's lack of discussion and college associations.

Well-put, Bob.
"War of words" is exactly what's missing.
Here's a quickie list from the excellent site, thereligionofpeace on why Islam is such a deadly ideology:
https://www.thereligionofpeace.com/pages/articles/10-reasons-not-peace.aspx
"To this day, not a week goes by that Islamic fundamentalists do not attempt to kill Christians, Jews, Hindus and Buddhists explicitly in the name of Allah."
"Muhammad directed Muslims to wage war on other religions and bring them under submission to Islam."
The antithesis of Jesus and Buddha.
"Muhammad, the prophet of Islam, had people killed for insulting him or for criticizing his religion. This included women. Muslims are told to emulate the example of Muhammad."
Lovely, huh?
"Muhammad inspired his men to war with the basest of motives, using captured loot, sex and a gluttonous paradise as incentives. He beheaded captives, enslaved children and raped women captured in battle. Again, Muslims are told to emulate the example of Muhammad."

Somalis here in Minnesota are a very close knit group. I find it very hard to believe they do not know who the bad ones are, yet they fail to tell the police who are violent and hate Americans.
Following the advice of the late Col. Hackworth we need to out guerrilla the guerrilla.

Here in the New York area, as some have stated, bombs have gone off in New York and New Jersey.
Officials and politicians are bending over backward to say that it is NOT terrorism.
They think we are stupid!
