Here's a feminist ripping down the flyers advertising an upcoming talk, "Where Feminism Went Wrong," by Christina Hoff Sommers at Cal State LA.
As the saying goes, the answer to speech you don't like is more speech, not shutting down the speech of someone you disagree with.
Emily Jashinsky posts a transcript/description of the brief video:
After being confronted by a CSULA YAF student, the vandal repeatedly insisted the fliers were "offensive."One of the feminists claimed removing the fliers was her First Amendment right.
"This is my freedom of speech," she said.
"So it's freedom of speech to infringe on our freedom of speech?" the YAF student responded.
He didn't get an answer.
Hoff-Sommers' talk is October 4, 3 to 4:30 p.m. in the CSULA Golden Eagle Ballroom, and I hope the reports of these flyers getting pulled down serve to pack the room.
She will talk about feminists' demands for "safe spaces" and trigger warnings, as well as their hostility to men and gives her ideas on how it can be fixed.
The talk will also be live-streamed at yaf.org.
Is that a brassiere she is wearing on her head? You go, girl, let your crazy fly free!

(2) Damages.
(3) Destroys.

belonging to any public entity, as defined by Section 811.2 of the
Government Code, or the federal government, it shall be a permissive
inference that the person neither owned the property nor had the
permission of the owner to deface, damage, or destroy the property.

Yep. A core principle of leftism is that the rights of lefists include the absolute right to be free of anything that would inhibit or constrain their behavior in any way. If they want to break in to your house and steal your DVR to buy drug money, and you inhibit that by locking your door, you have infringed on their rights.

Call me shallow, but that young woman looks like a beast. I'm glad the guy arguing with her did not get hurt.
For more substantive commentary, this is typical leftoid behavior. Christina Hoff Summers better have a bodyguard and security detail, and she'd better prepare to be shouted down, mocked, ridiculed and even stage-rushed.

I know he was only trying to get under their skin; but Rush Limbaugh was not just funny but also somewhat perceptive when he said something along the lines that modern feminism was invented by ugly women who couldn't get men to notice them.

I remember, back when I was a was a young man when it was still a college and not a university, there was a saying at Cal State LA that farmers sent their daughters to UCLA and their pigs to Cal State LA.

That would be true if she was yelling at the fliers.
However, pulling them off the wall requires work (see physics: force x distance) which speech cannot do.
Therefore: WRONG you ignorant twit.
