This Is The America I Want To Be A Part Of
The Buzzfeed headline:
Democrats Raised More Than $13,000 To Reopen A Firebombed Republican Office
Buzzfeed's Claudia Koerner writes:
"As Democrats, we are starting this campaign to enable the Orange County, North Carolina Republican office to re-open as soon as possible," [David] Weinberger wrote on the fund's page."Until an investigation is undertaken, we cannot know who did this or why. No matter the result, this is not how Americans resolve their differences. We talk, we argue, sometimes we march, and most of all we vote. We do not resort to violence by individuals or by mobs."
The results:
Within 40 minutes, the online campaign beat its $10,000 goal and it was later closed out with a total of $13,117.

That is awesome. No sarcasm intended.

So, the kind of America you want to be part of is where leftist brownshirts firebomb their political opponents (when they aren't physically assaulting them, stealing their campaign signs, and destroying them personally and professionally, or gunning them down in the streets if they happen to be police officers), and where the Democratic Party scrambles to use a trivial gesture to patch up the damage in a key swing state... as they desperately hope there aren't too many more incidents between now and the vote.

1) did democrats raise the money, or simply start the campaign? We all know they love nothing better than looking generous on someone else's dime.
2) pure self-interest. They knew it'd get press and people would feel warm and fuzzy. Non-election time? Never would've happened.

I'm with MomOf4, were those democrat donors? Given Obama and Hillary's recent speeches this is just a publicity stunt.

If only that office had refused to bake a cake for a gay wedding...

Ditto Momof4; it is not their money; but, they will claim the kudos for it.
Typical of those who believe in the power of the state - take someone else's money to give away and claim credit for being generous.

I figure the office was bombed by Trump supporters mad at the GOP.
Why would the Clinton campaign bomb the GOP office? She's winning!
