When Hollywood’s most prestigious organization, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS) — the group of nearly 7,000 actors, directors and other industry types who dole out the Oscars — expelled Harvey Weinstein on Oct. 14, audiences applauded. But by acting so swiftly, a mere nine days after the New York Times first reported allegations of sexual assault against the movie producer, the outfit now finds itself facing a dilemma.
While the recent earthquakes may make residents nearby Mount St. Helens uneasy, there is no immediate danger of an eruption. However, this is another sign of why we need constant volcano and earthquake monitoring.
With modern monitoring systems and subsurface modeling, geologists and geophysicists are able to build a 3-dimensional picture of volcanoes such as Mount St. Helens. The constant input of data, from seismic activity to precise topographical changes allows better prediction of a future event. While we can't be certain, chances are the next time Mount St. Helen erupts, we will be significantly better prepared.

It's "executive time" which includes watching "teevee" - it does not say he spends all that time watching "teevee".
Look at what a man accomplishes rather than whether you agree with his schedule - that is, unless you prefer style to substance.
More winning: "The Trump administration will tell about 200,000 Salvadorans who have been living in the U.S. for 17 years or more that they need to get out by September 2019 or face deportation."
Snoopy, he's starting his day later, supposedly, to watch more TV. He already has logged in more vacation days in his first year than golfing bongmaster Obama. Doesn't this concern you, or are YOU watching too much TV to bother?

Well, now.
U.S. District Court Judge Gloria Navarro dismissed the charges against the four men "with prejudice," meaning they cannot face trial again. She said a new trial would not be sufficient to address the problems in the case and would provide the prosecution with an unfair advantage going forward.
The judge criticized both the prosecution and the FBI for not providing evidence to the defense as required under court rules. "The court finds that the universal sense of justice has been violated," Navarro said.
Navarro said it was clear the FBI was involved in the prosecution of the case, and that it was not a coincidence that most of the withheld evidence came from the FBI.

> he's starting his day later, supposedly, to
> watch more TV.
The article says:
"The schedule says Trump has "Executive Time" in the Oval Office every day from 8am to 11am, but the reality is he spends that time in his residence, watching TV, making phone calls and tweeting. Trump comes down for his first meeting of the day, which is often an intelligence briefing, at 11am."
So, he could be doing pretty much anything he wants during that time, which would include watching TV. But there is nothing in that quote that says that most of the time is watching TV. He could be banging his wife during this time for all we know.
> Donald Trump. Running the spreadsheets, reviewing the reports.
He obviously knows better than most how to become a billionaire, TV show star, best-selling author, and President.
> It's important that Americans such as yourself
> maintain a defensive, grade-school fanboy

It's important that Americans such as yourself spend their lives attacking this successful person whose accomplishments are much greater than theirs, on such important issues such as drinking too much diet coke, having an ugly wife, and how much time he spends watching "teevee". Because, apparently, accomplishments don't matter, whereas having the same style and sensibilities of the elite does matter bigly.

No Trump-bunny will ever, ever be permitted to smoke about a celebrity like Oprah running for the White House. You made this happen. Don't come crying to us.
A man with unparalleled access to the world’s most powerful information-gathering machine, with an intelligence budget estimated at $73 billion last year, prefers to rely on conservative cable news hosts to understand current events.
There are people in the world who need to have things sliced into trite, pre-digested little portions by television news, complete with frequent commercial breaks to reassure that they too can participate in the human miracle somehow, if only by servile consumerism.
This president, and his adoring voters, are such people.

Politics is ugly. Oprah's appeal has always been as a "nice" person. Presidents have to make brutal decisions, dropping bombs, taxation, immigration, etc.
As we saw with Arnold Schwarzenegger in California, people who made their bones based on being popular don't always have the ability to be brutal when necessary. Arnold confused popularity with effectiveness and abandoned his political principles to maintain his popularity. As long as his poll numbers were up, he thought he was doing a good job.
