The UN Is Another Word For "The Onion"
No joke: the U.N. will tomorrow elect Mauritania -- which has 500,000 slaves -- to its highest human rights body.https://t.co/VwgXBYpIcz

There's more:
There are extreme restrictions on freedom of religion and belief in Mauritania; it is one of thirteen countries in the world which punishes atheism by death.[54] On 27 April 2018, The National Assembly passed a law that makes the death penalty mandatory for anyone convicted of "blasphemous speech" and acts deemed "sacrilegious". The new law eliminates the possibility under article 306 of substituting prison terms for the death penalty for certain apostasy-related crimes if the offender promptly repents. The law also provides for a sentence of up to two years in prison and a fine of up to 600,000 Ouguiyas (approximately EUR 14,630) for "offending public indecency and Islamic values" and for "breaching Allah's prohibitions" or assisting in their breach.
And about the UN Human Rights Council (from HumanRightsWatch.org):
UN General Assembly Resolution 60/251, which created the Human Rights Council, urges states voting for members to "take into account the contribution of candidates to the promotion and protection of human rights." This applies to their efforts to promote and protect human rights at home and abroad. Council members are required to "uphold the highest standards in the promotion and protection of human rights." ...
Har, har, har.
And the fact that Mauritania is running unopposed in its area does not make them any more qualified.
Two of the five UN geographical regions have no competition for council seats, meaning that their candidates' victory is largely a foregone conclusion in the secret ballot. Four African countries are running for four seats: Benin, Libya, Mauritania, and Sudan. The Netherlands and Germany are seeking the two available Western group seats.
Any UN Human Rights endeavor is likely to be populated and driven by the worst abusers in the world. They put themselves on UN Human Rights boards to absolve themselves of any wrongdoing by point out how every other country is worse.
Like any socialist "paradise," because their abuses are committed in the name of building a better world in the future for "the people," and ours are committed in the name of making a profit now, their hands are cleaner, their souls purer. That they also profit today means little to them; their rhetoric is what counts. The victims are just as dead, but they are omelet makers whilst we are colonialists and imperialists.

The UN is a strange body. Its greatest strength is its greatest weakness. To get the world's nations to sit at a table and discuss issues rather than going to war over them, it must pretend that every government of every member nation is legitimate. That results in some of the meanest, most savage, governments being accorded respect by the UN. To do otherwise would turn it into an international country club, limited only to the "right" sort of members being admitted and negate its usefulness.

I didn't know that Mauritania was a bastion of white supremacy.

During the last UN general assembly I was really hoping that someone at the UN would tweet something to mean to Trump so Trump would freak out and kick the whole UN out of NY.

Pathetic that you would daydream of him having that authority, no matter how deserving the expulsion.

"I didn't know that Mauritania was a bastion of white supremacy."
It isn't. The real evidence is everything around you.
Oh, you meant the fantasy where every individual "white" person is superior to everyone else, not the culture. The fantasy where "white" people support slavery, not the reality where whites themselves were enslaved, and whites fought a war to stop it only to be told that wasn't enough.
Only the culture truly capable of producing everything can be blamed for not giving it to others.

That's the thing.... People *want* the presidency to have all this irresistible power, even when their own guy isn't in the the chair.
The American voter is a sex gimp wearing weird tubber costumes.

When illegal slavery still exists in practically every nation in the world (except maybe the half-dozen smallest nations), what's so surprising about that?

" weird tubber costume"
This one has its own duck!
I won't apologize. I won't.

And those are ALL run by whites. Right.
Mauritania is one of dozens of proofs that activism in the USA is about getting money, not about slavery - and the fact that it is routinely ignored shows that American blacks are full participants in the "diversity" hoax.
Oh, yeah. It's YOUR fault.

I didn't say that - and you know it.
But, as it happens, the people in the U.S. with the most money and power DO tend to be white.
So until the average black person has the same cushy lifestyle (and safe neighborhood) that the average white person does, nothing's likely to change.
