Educating Mexicans With Arizona Tax Dollars
Charming. The AP reports that the Arizona Department of Ed is having to demand a southern Arizona school district give back $1.2 million in funding for educating students who crossed the border daily to attend school in the Ajo school district:
Ajo Superintendent Robert Dooley says the district relied on documentation provided by Pima County and that district officials have no desire to break the law. He says he anticipates state and district will try to negotiate an agreement.

My daughter teaches along the border in Texas, and says there are students who live in Texas during the week, and go south on weekends. It is a problem when they produce documentation that they are there lawfully. Any system which uses paperwork to show your right to do something or be some place can be tricked.
On the other problem, go back and read about the East / West Germany problem where people who lived a few hundred yards apart were unable to visit each other for decades. Some find such things simple; I don't.
