Thank you for sharing that, I R A. I had all but forgotten that story. So, it seems there was more to it than detaining her because she was black and he was white. Why else would they plead "no contest" to disturbing the peace?

No contest is a plea which denies guilt but admit the cops ave enough evidence for a case.
As the only evidence for such a case is the cops word (and we all know cops never lie) and a charge like "disturbing the peace" can mean whatever the authorities want it to mean.
Even the cops originally said there was no evidence of lewd conduct on their part, and no one has provided any proof to the contrary.
Now, I dont think the cop was a racist for responding to a call, but those how placed it might have been.
I am continually amazed that you can keep coming up with link puns.

Remember that actress out in LA who claimed the cop who busted her was a dirrrrrrrrrty raaaaaaaaaacist?
Well, she and her boyfriend plead out this week to avoid the "lewd conduct charge".
Also had to write an apology to the cop she accused.
