AOC has a pretty face. Here are two reasons to nonetheless regard her as a destructive force:
• "Social workers in the United States are overwhelmingly female (83%) and mostly white (69%). Defunding the police means a lot fewer jobs for black and Hispanic men and a lot more jobs for white women."
• "The real reason American socialists are enjoying a moment today is social and cultural poverty. The root cause is something like loneliness."

• Fun investigation of some of the noisemakers.
• Elon's sincerest flatterers.

• This ties into the 'socialism' thing, above.
• As does this observation.
Maybe it's getting old that makes it so blindingly obvious: These people want to go to church, but are afraid of even the trivial intimacies that a religious practice entails. To wit—

Ninnies are terrified by things like this. (Such services weren't a part of my childhood Christianity, either. Methodists were pretty mild by then.)
Meanwhile, this is a great photo of cropland.

You should try some of the Pentecostal churches, Crid. There is nothing like shopping around for a church when they bring out the snakes and herbs.

Not too long ago, no one could have imagined flipping off the President when gas was going for $1.81/Gal.

Karens. What would we do without Karens? also, don't consent to a search unless they have a warrant.

Such services weren't a part of my childhood Christianity, either. Methodists were pretty mild by then.
Although my mother told me that, 60+ years ago, Methodist "pledge cards" were enough to make her turn Lutheran (well, this was South Dakota after all).

OMG, an 11-year-old with a BB gun! I had a Daisy BB gun at 9. My dad used it to teach me gun safety, warning me to be sure of what was beyond my target as well as my target. Good idea since the thing was like shooting a musket - accuracy was more a matter of hope than skill. Besides, the damn thing was so weak, I once shot myself in the foot and barely felt it.
Granted, today's pellet guns are much more powerful and accurate - a .177 pellet gun can be used to hunt small game.
I question the "in pursuit of becoming an Eagle Scout" at 11. You start the Boy Scouts at 11, so every Boy Scout, at that point, is technically "in pursuit of becoming and Eagle Scout." Still, he's probably a good kid.

No matter what I said four days ago, the broad-shouldered demeanor of Chicago's transportation workers has moments of charm.
(I still want to piss in the coffee of that shrew behind American's O'Hare counter in Dec '18, though.)

I heard once, from a very non-scientific source, that pandas love to be cuddled.
Since I don't recall any photos of zoo workers doing that, I wonder, if that's true, if it has more to do with young pandas that were separated from their parents - or something similar.
In the meantime, here's Trevor Noah on Nancy Pelosi and kente clothing:

Oh. I wonder if they've heard of "google"? no probably not. I do have a suggestion: "Lady Ahole". Probably not taken.

Yes Crid it is real. I think I've eaten there once. So I wouldn't call it amazing or wonderful or whatever. But if you are really hungry and you don't have better options it won't kill you like Panda Express might.
