"Progressive" Hooey
Both Governor Hair Gel (Gavin Newsom) and our incompetent local rep, LA City Councilmember Mike Bonin, are characterizing the recall efforts to remove them from office as driven by right-wingers.

OMG. I live in Venice. THEY ARE ALL COMMUNISTS! Champagne socialists! Wealthy Democrats! Many of whom consider Republicans terrifying people who are as close as one can get while being American and alive at present to being "literally Hitler."
I suspect these slimy pols are fooling no one.
Oh, and I voted for neither of these schmos, nor did I vote for our incompetent wet dishrag of a Mayor, Eric Garcetti. Usually, no one I vote for gets elected.

I followed one of the Twitter comment threads to the end. In it, one commenter complained that homeless people were camping in Venice Beach's public space. A reply to that comment questioned if the first commenter knew what "public" space meant.
Judging by recent Twitter exchanges, we have a significant portion of our population that believes a violent response to a verbal insult is "self defense" and that "public" space means available space for homeless camps.
That the folks defending camping on the boardwalk have no concept that a host of people living in those "public" spaces brings with it sewage problems for which those "public" spaces have no accommodations tells me they're operating on emotion, not reason. Add in the crime and drug problems that an itinerant population rife with substance abuse and mental instability brings with it and you've got a third world slum in the making. Rome is burning while the Neros of progressivism fiddle.

Florida Democrat Charlie Crist is giving up his Congressional seat to run for Governor.
'Politico' is reporting that William Braddock, a GOP candidate who would dearly like to take that seat, has been recorded threatening his opposition with death.
