The Little Bitty Titty Committee
Very funny friend of a friend, comedian Tig Notaro, the cop on Sarah Silverman, is performing tomorrow in L.A. at Largo, which has just moved. I can't go but maybe you can.

Can you call for tickets for the Little Room or do you just show up?

You just show up. But I think you can RSVP at the number above. Maybe. Here's a link. It's in "The Little Room" at the Coronet.

If you go, lemme know what you think! Love Tig's dry humor.

Amy - You always give good headline. But when I was in junior high the boys had a "club" for the flat-chested girls (I lived in fear of being inducted; you'd obviously have been safe). The name? The Itty Bitty Titty Committee. I have to say I think the word "itty" makes all the difference.

I had the opposite experience from JulieA. During rush workshop my sophomore year, we were required to purchase dresses for pref night. Whoever had picked out the dresses (it was someone at the college, since they wanted all the sororities to be equal on pref night or something lame like that) was either a man or had no idea what the dresses looked like on an actual female form. Several of the large chested girls (including me) were literally busting out of these dresses. We called ourselves the Big Titty Committee.

Sigh...you remind me of an experience being a bridesmaid at a friend's wedding...something that has happened only once when I was in my early 20s. Let's just say the dresses were perfect for a B cup and I held my bouquet in front of the twins all night long.

The Itty Bitty Titty Committee might be from "Are You There God, It's Me, Margaret," by Judy Blume, or it might just be one of those cultural hand-me-downs. I actually purposely made this different because Tig is an original and I believe, if I remember correctly, the guy said "Them's little titties..." etc.
Anybody go to the show last night?
I had a dinner already planned with a bunch of brainy broads, as Gregg would say, so I couldn't make it.

I still think it's funnier. And we'll have to go with cultural hand-me-own borrowed by Judy Blume. The book came out in 1970, a few years too late for the itty bitty 6th graders we were back then.

Yeah, I got off work just in time to drop by. It was fun, and I like that tiny venue. Tig spent most of the time "interacting" with the apiphobic woman in the second row, and Janeane Garofalo is intensely paranoid in exactly the same was I was in high school and early college, when I would always wear a black trenchcoat and randomly pick up my phone now and then and scream into it "I know you're THERE!" just in case somebody was. If I find it achingly sexy, is it infatuation or mere cryptonarcissism?

Hmmm...does it matter?
Thanks for the review. Wish I could've been there.
P.S. a bee hater?
