Handbag Farm
Hermes is breeding crocodiles for their handbags. David Jones writes for Reuters:
Hermes already faces a major challenge producing 3,000 crocodile bags a year, Thomas said, adding: "The world is not full of crocodiles, except the stock exchange!"

Well... ok. I can't imagine carrying a bag that costs nearly $50k, but whatever. I know that alligators are farmed for their meat (which is pretty tasty). I'm not much of a reptile-skin kinda girl, although I did find some boots a few weeks ago that I'd like to have that are either croc or alligator. (Like I'd know the difference.) They were a few thousand dollars though, so I won't actually be buying them.

This is news why, precisely? Gators are farmed in Florida and Louisiana. They used to be endangered.
That's really gotta stick in the craw of lefties. All the good meat critters that were once endangered are now back on the plate because of one thing - private property rights.

I LOVE those animals. I cant wait for the days of genetic engineering when you can keep a tiny version as a pet.

Ppen- google Dwarf Caiman. I saw one decades ago in Ann Arbor at a pet store in a strip mall. You might want to see if it would be legal to own one where you live.
