You've Got Money?
Legit site. Search for your unclaimed funds here, at missingmoney.com. I once got a couple hundred dollars owed me for a TV appearance by looking up my name. Look up your name, look up those of your friends!
Let us know how you made out!
PS Not all states are included. Here's California. You can also look up your individual state (i.e., Google "unclaimed funds, California," and the state website will pop up).

Whoops! I had a $196 paycheck from five years ago that I apparently never deposited. Off to file the paperwork with the state.

Okay, this was worse than depressing.
1) That many people have my exact name?
2) That many people with my exact name have money owed to them?
3) And I'm not owed anything?
So not only am I not a unique and precious snowflake, but I don't even get any money.
So thanks, thanks for nothing.

Thanks from Mexico. A nephew in the Midwest has $30.50 coming, an insurance refund from a business he ran. His brother has $51.77 from the telephone company. A cousin has $40 from Best Buy refund coming. I told my brother to tell them Merry Christmas from Mexico. Somehow with all the excitement, I forgot to give Amy credit, heh, heh.
When I get time, I will look for more people. Thanks.

Up to $350, as far back as 1997, in two states. No name confusion, because of addresses.
irlandes at April 21, 2010 10:14 AM
$78.33 - old insurance premium. Whooopiiee.

Just hit $7400. Seriously. My son-in-law has a cousin who is married to a neonatologist. He has $7050 coming, including over $2000 from Toyota Credit company. One insurance refund as far back as 1999. Yes, he does indeed have enough money he can lose track of $7000.
I wonder if someone is going to reimburse me for my $2 in telephone calls, though the big one went by e-mail.

For cheap international phone calls, I use Skype (2 cents a minute) or 1016868 (see 1016868.com - think it's 5 cents from your land line to land lines in France; more for land line to mobile).

Another $30 for my old boss. And, $5 for my best friend.
Actually, I was being smart-alecky when I mentioned the $2. It won't break me. Thanks, though.

There is one for less than $100 that is definitely MIL and one without an address for over $100 that might be her.

We retired in 1997, and moved to the Rio Grande Valley in 1998. I had exactly one friend in the Valley, and he died a few years ago. Which leaves me with zero friends outside of dau. and her excellent family. Which is one reason I am here.
ATT owes him $50, and Hocheim insurance owes him another $74. Add another $124 to the list. From 1999 and 2000. I will call his son later, his executor will have to apply, I am sure.

Another $27.90. Wife of a boss of mine back in the 70's, had it coming from Ebay. I left a message, and the URL for that state.
I hate boredom and this is not boredom.
