Indonesians Are "Moderate Muslims"
Well, except for the ones who planted a 330-lb. bomb under a gas line near a church that holds 3,000 people. From a story by Ali Koarumalos from the AP:
Ninety percent of Indonesians are Muslim, though most practice a moderate form of the faith and abhor violence.
In Robert Spencer's words at Jihad Watch link above:
It would be refreshing if AP, or anyone, would explain how this "moderate form of the faith" deals with the Qur'an's many exhortations to violence. That no one ever does so is telling.
Indonesia has laws sentencing people to death By stoning for adultery, and caning of 100 lashes (the same sentence that killed a 14 yr old rape victim in another islamic travesty) for being a homosexual.

Yep. Moderate as hell, that.

The Amish are certainly not moderate Christians. They take their religion to extremes - dress codes from the 16th century, no cars, no electricity, biblical guidance for every aspect of daily life, etc. But you will never read about a suicide buggy bombing. There are Buddhists in Indonesia too, but you'll never read "though most practice a moderate form of the faith and abhor violence" in a news report about them.

What goes "clippity-clop, clippity-clop, klippity-clop, BANG! BANG! BANG! clippity clippity clippity-clop"
An Amish drive-by shooting.

I posted something on my blog a while back and it was referring to Indonesian Muslims and the header graphic was of an indonesian girl being caned because she was with caught with (gasp!) a boyfriend.
The story was about an Imam's concerns that young muslim children will learn violence from video games.
Have a look at the picture of the girl being caned. Notice who's in the peanut gallery in the background observing the punishment.
