Eugene Volokh wins the day from December 14 with "Saudi Arabia Not Yet Ready to Enter the 18th Century":
The Daily Mail reports:A woman convicted of practising magic and sorcery has been executed by Saudi authorities.... The London-based al-Hayat daily ... quoted Abdullah al-Mohsen, chief of the religious police who arrested the woman, as saying she had tricked people into thinking she could treat illnesses, charging them $800 (£500) per session.
Best Kim Jung Il headline you've seen?

(It would be cool! Hitch probably had some neat stuff in the files, ready for FedEx. Lord knows we've seen a lot of long-prepared pieces for him this weekend.)

Sweet one, Amy.
The great thing about this 8-hour news cycle was that we haven't actually gotten to the point where Eun has started pulling stunts of his own yet... Apparently the missile launches were scheduled. For another few minutes, we can imagine him on the phone to Beijing, DC and London, trying desperately to cut a deal and bring his country into the 20th century.

What could be a better Kim Jong-Il headline than "Kim Jong-Il Dead"? It's to the point, and leaves you smiling.

It's cry or die in Pyongyang. Any North Korean seen in public who isn't weeping hysterically will be shot dead on the spot:

I can't find the exact quote from the Tom Clancy Patrick series but the paraphrase of the quote from the president's press secretary was along the lines of:
That pretty much is my view. I just hope he rots quickly.
