Right? All of showbiz is a lie. My whole life is a lie.
I always liked Donna Summer. I never liked any of her music, but I always dug her for some reason. Shameless pitch; artless, un-mannered breathing, etc. She was a belter with middle-class habits. She wasn't pretending to be a better singer or more exotic person than she really was.

LOVED Donna Summer- one of the most beautiful, sexy women ever. Great voice too. I got that lump in my throat when the headlline went by...
Unrelated, but I have listened to this for about 40 years, and I thought I knew most of the "play this song backwards" type secrets, AND grew up with 33-45-78 turntables and "flip over the tape" cassettes, but I had never heard the secrets of this song until about 30 minutes ago...
I wish I was smoking grass an hour ago. Mind blown.

PS- sign o' the times. I was curious about the never hear surf music again" line, figuring it was about Pet Sounds. I got on google and typed "never h" when that link popped up. It's difficult to fathom what the world will be like in a generation or two when we have fused our minds with microchips... truly unlimited intelligence?

Eric- Consider this as well. It was one of the first things I did 30 years ago when I had a VTR that would conveniently play backwards at negative 1X... Would that solo make sense? Of course it did, of course it did.

On the morning when Donna Summer died, I learn that punk was actually kind of bubblegum and melodic. (I.e., Don't Dream It's Over[???])

What is 6 inches long, 2 inches wide, and drives women wild?
No--it's a $100 bill.
