Cool Customers And The Actual Customers
Interesting story by Eric Markowitz in Inc. about a fashion startup that discovered that its actual market wasn't what the founders thought it would be:
"It was like, 'Holy crap, our customers aren't 22-year-olds who are rebellious and against 'The Man,'" Bi says. "Our customers are The Man."

At 22 how many people can really afford $70 shirts quite often? Or how many want to dress that way? Especially guys?

Typically -- if you have to do a business suit lifestyle at 22 you are buying the $14 shirts at Wal-Mart and going to Goodwill for your jackets and pants.
And because I only have to wear a suit on rare occasion, if none of the suits I have fit, I go to Goodwill as well.
I'm not going to pay that much for a suit.

I discovered, at eighteen, that i wasn't a member of rebellious youth either.
My lack of expectation from the rest of the world to provide for me, and the bill from the IRS, left me believing I was "the man" too.
Then, some psychedelics made me feel better.
