Boyfriend On What Dogs Really Think About What We Say To Them
Gregg, on the phone, hearing me say something to Mingus, my friend Debbie's bichon I was dogsitting the other weekend:
"If he could talk, he'd say, 'Don't fuckin call me Mingy.'"
The truth is, Gregg is dog putty.

My friend's dog Lucy, a one year old hound mix, demonstrates to me how good dogs are at understanding us. As soon as I walk in the door, I smile at Lucy since she is so obviously glad to see me. Lucy mimics this by raising her upper lip above her front teeth. This is a threat gesture between dogs but she always uses it to greet me.
Maybe the dog has sensed Gregg doesn't like the nick name Mingy??

Gary Larson classic: http://farm1.staticflickr.com/47/153603564_7281ad0588.jpg Sometimes my wife will just go with the "blah, blah, blah..." Seems to get through to our very sweet black lab about the same.

I bought a leather bound set for my dad for Father's Day on year on a whim. It was really gorgeous. I think that it was one of his favorite gifts.

"the person who posted that stole his work"
It's literally gone from your two-volume set? Or do you mean it's literally gone from the volumes owned by Gary Larson? Because otherwise, it sounds more like "the person who posted that did so against the wishes of the creator", which is not the same thing as theft at all.

Sounds like another topic for The Ethicist.

I've got a copy of every Gary Larson book printed. I usually look at the toons in the older editions
