Oh, come on, mpetrie98 -- questioning somebody's beliefs and whether they'll lead to hate isn't "attacking them." It's what you do in a TV interview.
The irrational belief that there is a god has led to incredible amounts of hate and death, and I luckily, was only on the hate end of the "Christian" community near me.
Hey, Amy! Good news! Maybe worth its own blog entry.

Amy, after seeing your pictures while you were in high school, I can't help but wonder if your religion was the ostensible reason, or at least part of the reason.
Not to sound like a suck-up, but you were a stunning high-school student. Porcelain skin, amazingly beautiful red hair that was naturally wavy.
High-school girls, as I remember them, would have hated you passionately even if you'd been the most devout Christian in the school.

Regarding mpetrie's link, I kind of straddle the middle ground. Yes, there was some hysteria with the suggestion that "the whole idea" is "the end of the church."
Not all Christian churches are adverse to homosexuality. There is the Unity Church of Christianity, the Lutherans, and the Metropolitan Community Church, to name a few.
On the other hand, Curry's questions were loaded. "Are you encouraging hate towards gay people?"
Which is basically, "Have you stopped beating your wife yet?"

I like Patrick's good news. Now, if only Madman Bloomturd's government would compensate by letting people own and carry any kind of gun within the city limits . . .

I like Patricks good news as well though I am a bit confused. As Patrick loves to point out people dont have the right to fly, which is why he supports the TSA, cause their legal and all that.
Where is the right to walk down the city street in the constitution? And stop and frisk was just as legal, albeit just as wrong as the TSA.
If you guys can stand one more link from me (on the subject of stuff that Amy might consider giving their own entry), this makes me sick!
A couple got permission of the city to install a handicapped ramp in their own home for their sixteen-year-old daughter, who has cerebral palsy. Now the neighbors are threatening to sue to force them to remove the ramp, concerned that the ramp will harm the resale value of their own homes!
These neighbors need to go to hell, go directly to hell, do not pass "Go," do not collect 200 dollars.
If it had been my home and it did harm its resale value, I'd have to suck it up. A handicapped child's safe access to her own home outweighs the resale value of my home, hands down.

I personally think they need a good beating, every one of them, except for their kids. But, going to hell is good, also. To each, his own!

If I recall correctly, I actually read that one before somewhere else, wtf. I thought it was pretty interesting myself.

'Hate Speech': NBC's Ann Curry Attacks Kirk Cameron's Religious Beliefs -- mpetrie98 at August 12, 2013 12:07 PM

I think the SCOTUS rulings have come down after that.
Re Patrick's handicapped ramp story: Wait until the neighbors realize that everyone interested in buying a home in that neighborhood can find that story with a simple Google search. I doubt the handicapped ramp would lower property values, but a neighborhood of a**holes story sure will!
I grew up with a Friendly's in my home town, and we used to love going there. But I never knew they offered this service before!
Now, that's friendly! It's illegal, but it's definitely friendly!

So why the double standard?
