You may remember Jamie Leigh Jones, the KBR contractor who was gang raped in Iraq and then held as prisoner in a shipping container.
Stephanie Mencimer of Mother Jones explores in a terrific article what came out in the grand jury hearing, namely that it was clearly a false accusation of rape and never happened.
It's an interesting article because it played into so many media and political pre-conceptions and made for great rape culture theater.
Once the truth came out, Mencimer was attacked by feminists for reporting on it, and almost no one in the media filed a follow up story to correct the public understanding.

Meanwhile in Annapolis, fear of naughtiness has reached a fever pitch! Kids attending the Annapolis High homecoming dance must sign a pledge asserting that they won't grind, put their hands in the wrong place, or show off too much skin.
How effective will this be? I have no idea, but my middle daughter tells me that the sort of behavior Annapolis High School is trying to address isn't uncommon at dances.

Meanwhile, in Brooklyn Park, Maryland, dumb kids are caught with ammunition stolen from a TSA trailer.
As the Instapundit says, "The country's in the very best of hands."

Didnt want to bother you with an email Amy, but recall last week you were talking about a disorder where people fake symptoms for sympathy that was not Munchausens?
TSA admits in an internal document that its "security theater" is not really about terrorism (except in the sense of them being out to scare us) and never was.

Oh, the Advice Goddess bats her eyelashes, and Old RPM melts! But what have I to offer her? Well, here are some cool pictures of experimental aircraft from decades past.
