However, The fact that they can list any states except the major ones (New York, Texas, California, and maybe Florida, Alaska, and Hawaii - the last two because they are somewhat different from the rest) is quite good in my opinion.
You should take a look at the Americans filling out the map of Europe - not bad really. Although some really stink!
But it is not a fair comparison. The US is one country; I wouldn't expect Europeans to know our states any more than I would expect Americans to be able to name the provinces of France, or the shires of England; or the "states" of Germany.
The video (near the bottom) with Brits saying what they think Thanksgiving is is even funnier!
