How A Small-Time Pot Arrest Ate A Great Teacher
He says he wasn't even smoking pot. The cop pulled a butt of a joint off the ground. Another Drug War casualty. The injustice here is stunning.
He was never found guilty of anything. The evidence wasn't there. But he wasn't allowed to come back to his job.

This is so sad. I never thought I would say these words, but whereinthehell was the Teachers Union on this? Isn't this the kind of thing they are actually supposed to protect their members from?

As former LA mayor Richard Riordan pointed out at a Reason event, the teachers' union's mission is neither to protect the students' nor the teachers' interests; it's to protect their own money and power.

Well, even in a case of alleged rape or dv or sexual misconduct, a mans life is ruined based on the allegation with nothing being proved. You think anyone gets allowed back into their job if they are clear of all charges? fat chance, someone else would have been given that job and would have established herself in that time.
Same thing here. I see no difference. I just wonder how many women have been treated in this manner, probably zilch which just proves that in western the western world, men have as much rights as women do in sharia.
