Gog... Hubby and I were just discussing this and he agrees with you.

Hubby thinks that it's because some salcious scandal will be unveiled and he's trying to get ahead of it.

I disagree. I am of the opinion that he's actually resigning because he has plans to run for a major office soon and he can't do that while in his current position. If it were a scandal, he'd hang on to the bitter end. Such is the way of men of his position. He would deny it or try to explain it away when it went public (as so many of them do) and only resign when the heat got to be too much. He's far too arrogant and delusional to think anything could bring him down. That's also why I think he thinks he might have a shot at higher office.

We have a friendly wager going as to what it might be. I give it about 9 months to a year before we start hearing his decisons and campaigns.
Hubby gives it about three months before we start hearing scandal headlines.

The winner gets special nekkid time with the loser. Either way, his resigning is going to make hubby and I very happy. :)
