Weather Retort
Excuse me, Weather, but this is Venice, California, not the fucking Everglades.
To explain, you become a weather weenie after you've lived here (in So Cal) for, oh, 20 minutes.
Though it's humid here now, typically, we don't have "weather"; we have fires, mudslides, earthquakes, and freeway chases.

True!
Not anywhere near as beautiful!
Meanwhile - unless the State will jail you for it - you should collect some water. I hear y'all don't have any down there on your coastal desert.

It's absolutely brutal, Amy. I don't know about you, but I have no AC in Huntington Beach and even with every fan going, not much sleep happened here. Yes, yes, I'm glad we got some rain, because we do need it. I would just prefer it to happen in the cooler months. Blow drying my hair is going to be brutal today!

Funny, when I lived in San Diego, the weather was on a loop. Same forecast, every day. "Late night & early morning low clouds burning off by late afternoon. Coastal highs in the mid-70's, lows tonight in the mid-60's. Now for sports."
