Low fat never worked for me. However, on a low carb diet (started at the recommendation of this blog) I've lost weight and improved my health. I must just be an outlier.

Like JFP, I must be an outlier.
On the other hand, I've gotten to the point that if I hear about a study or a paper that claims something astounding, I'll wait until that's been replicated several times by different groups.
Because all too often, the results of "sciency" papers are not reproducible. Too much of what we "knew" of diet over the last 40 or so years was based on one study.

That's way I keep saying that the field of nutrition has made no progress since about 1965. The scientific standards in that field are pretty much nonexistent. The only significant thing I can think of that's happened since then is the identification of vitamin E (around 1970), and even that wasn't really earthshaking since nearly everyone (at least in the West) gets sufficient vitamin E in a normal diet.

lujlp - it looks like some sort of clamp system. In the top left is the part to hold it onto a work bench or other flat surface. The large part in the middle would be the clamp that you would tighten by turning the crank on the right. Not too sure what the rest of the widgets are; maybe various pieces to hold in place the object to be clamped.
That's my uneducated guess anyway. Are you going to tell us what it is?

Its obviously a clamp system of some sort, I was just hoping some one might know the brand or model number so I could fins a manual online
For fat loss, low-fat diets beat low-carb diets handily, new research finds

According to Coca-Cola's independent team of Coca-Cola funded scientists, a Coke is an excellent choice for a snack.
Meanwhile Coca-Cola is expressing concern to the SEC that profits may fall as Americans continue to recognize that massively sugared drinks contribute to obesity.
They have reason for concern. American consumption of sugary sodas has dropped to a mere 30 gallons per person per year.

Can arrest them but not send them back.
Can pop it out so it's a U.S. citizen even though they just got here.
Can give 'em a drivers license so they can drive to the business we will fine if we find out they hired 'em.
Now we have to pay 'em to detain 'em.
I'm so confused and a little scared.

Where are the feminists when a real culture of rape is discovered?
Bob, don't forget that if they have a drivers license that in some places they are also automatically registered to vote!
